“Made in Germany” means very little - it’s not a protected term. At least when it says “Made in China” they’re being honest, especially when the parts of the ‘German-made’ watch might come out of the same factory! 😂 The Ciga is fun, if impractical - not exactly the most legible 😉 - but fun and that’s what the hobby should be all about. 1.04....Can hardly see the hands to read the time. Purchased one when they first came out to add to watch collection. Wore it once and never again because you can't see the bloody time. 🤣😂. Only bonus was i paid alot less than what they sell for today.

I’m not sure why manufacturers do that sometimes… My SkyDweller is almost impossible to read. It has silver hand… but it’s “black polished” - which means 50% of the time when the light hits it the right way it looks black against a black background. I can barely read it. 😢

I'm like you i personally have no biased towards Chinese Brands .i listen to people complain about Chinese watches while watching this or outher videos on a Chinese phone or computer & wearing Chinese made NIKE . I like the watch and in fact I own it - the stainless steel version. I just wish the rubber strap didnt have the branding and that it tapered from 22 to 20. I changed to an aftermarket rubber strap because of those.

@republicofu.s9642 I just measured with my calipers… It’s a perfect 22.0 mm. Your 22 mm straps should work. Maybe the tolerances are tight… Can you work with it a bit and get it to fit?

@@PocketWatchTime I'm so sorry i forgot to mention in my comment, i purchased the "ciga design fang yuan". i just found out that they advertise it as a 22mm because of the strap end to end size but the actual pins size is 17mm. appreciate it the fast response!

Quality of material/parts are good? Is Durable to last 15 years?

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The materials like the titanium and even the rubber strap are nice. The leather strap is not nice. 😂 I think the watch will definitely last you a long time… I can’t put a time limit on it. I’m sure it would probably need a service before 15 years. If it had better water resistance I would trust it a bit more.

@Rishi2816 it’s a standard automatic movement. It would be very easy to service by any local watchmaker. Not a big deal.

It’s a bit loud. Not too bad… but if you don’t like the sensation of feeling the rotor move I wouldn’t recommend it.

I agree these skeletonized watches need to work harder at making the hands legible. I’m actually dropping a review for a new CIGA Design watch tomorrow… Similar hand issue.
