Might be a obvious question but why don't you just have their finished enclosures ready so you can unpack them and put them straight in? Can't see it making your video longer and it saves them the stress of having to unpack them again.

What a TERRIFIC family you have, TarantulaDan!!! I have to admit, though, that the scorpion creeped me out considerably, mostly b/c I've heard how badly they sting and how venomous they are. I really marvel at how expertly you handle your new additions, and I'll bet they'll be spoiled with lots of loving care!!

Scorpions are designed with claws and stingers in mind. It either goes one way or another. When you look at a scorpion, first you look at the arachnid itself. The bigger the better. Second, you look at it's stinger and claws. Weak claws and a big stinger mean it relies more on venom whereas large claws and a smaller stinger means it relies more on the claws. This is not one of the more venomous species out there, I can tell because size and it's claws are huge.

Derek Anderson Not Dan, but its a Venezuelan suntiger, and presumably he doesn't wanna be bit because their venom is more potent then other tarantulas, definitely not enough to kill you or anything, but enough to make you pretty sick

The first spider I'll ever own would be the jumping spider. They aren't scary like their massive cousins, they don't bite very much and their bite doesn't hurt when they do bite, and they're easy to find in my front/back yard.

Oh their bites can hurt like a bitch, at least P. regius bites do (not for long though, pain is gone after like a minute). Also they're a bit skittish as pets, it's really easy to have them escape (talking from own experience....)
