Ich verstehe einfach nicht warum es Märklin bei so tollen Modellen einfach nicht hinbekommt einen vernünftigen Ton zu generieren. Da klingt selbst eine Dose Mais besser.

Wenn man Ton über ein Kamera micro aufnimmt klingt das immer schlecht in echt klingen die lautsprecher sehr viel besser das kannst du ja mal ausprobieren wenn du über einen Lautsprecher musik abspielst und das mit deinem handy aufnimmst dann klingt das auch nicht so gut

Für Realismuss ist eine tiefere untere Grenzfrequenz erforderlich und dafür braucht man eine große Membranfläche und keine akustischen Kurzschluss. Und die bekommt man nicht unter in dem kleinen Modell. Glauben Sie bloß nicht, dass ein rel. guter Laptop-/IPad-Lautsprecher von z.B. Apple in so einem Modell echter klingen würde. No way.

Ich bin seit heute stolzer Besitzer einer solchen Lokomotive. Bezahlt habe CHF 3290 bei einem Fachhändler im Kanton ZH, also knapp 3000€. Insgesamt ein stimmiges und wunderschönes Modell, jedoch verstehe ich nicht warum Märklin die Laternen innen Weiß statt Silber, wie beim Vorbild, realisiert haben. Das wäre sicher mit wenig Aufwand machbar gewesen. Der Lokführer mit dem Hut ist auch komplett daneben und passt eher in einer LGB Stainz Spielzeuglok. Vielen Dank für das super Video. Ich habe es mir bestimmt 5 mal angesehen bevor ich es gekauft habe.

Danke für die netten Worte zu meinem neuesten Unboxing-Video. Was die Geräusche angeht - ja, da könnte man sicher noch was verbessern - aber das gilt eigentlich auch für die meisten anderen Hersteller von Spur 1-Loks. Was die Lautstärke angeht - die habe ich beim Krokodil ein Stück zurückgenommen, weil ich sonst mit meiner Stimme nicht mehr hätte dagegensetzen können.

Der Sound kommt einfach von einem sehr kleinen Lautsprecher. Vielleicht könnte Märklin einfach bessere Lautsprecher einbauen. Heute ist der Sound bei Flachbild Fernseher teilweise auch furchtbar.

Awesome locomotive, one of my favorites, and in such big scale it is amazing by the level of detail. Just wonder why the front leading wheels also turn on the rollers, I thought these were unpowered.

The front wheels are unpowered, but I have a roll test stand with a belt at the backlside for all roller-units and with a driving wheel at one roller for each wheel. So the presentation of locomotives on a roll-test-stand looks more realistic.

I don't think so. The sounds of the locomotive are awful, you are paying 3500 euro for a premium and perfect product, but they used the same sounds with that 1/2 second loop, and also the speaker sounds like crap. But i can't deny that the details on the locomotive are awesome.

I can buy so much more for 3500€... a good used car, food for over a year or you can rent a flat for over 5 months. I just don't understand why everything is so expensive nowadays. And yes it's a great model and I'am a fan of model railroading myself but it's just too expensive some times

Looks like it’s more fun unboxing it than running it. God look at that detailed wrapping. Tiny bags for the tiny pieces...so thoughtful. Even Velcro to keep the expanded polystyrene in place and the loco cosy. AND crocodile teeth foam for the Krokodile Loco. Wunderbar.

Yes, that would certainly be an idea, because with many gauge 1 models you can also limit the maximum stroke of the pantographs using CV presets so that they look more realistic even when driving without overhead lines. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen a 1-gauge model with flashing pantographs. In H0 and TT there seem to be some self-made locomotives that have been equipped accordingly.

3500 euro, wahnsinn schön das es leute mit hobbys gibts, aber der preis ist... interessant. ich habe selber früher mit 10 eine märklin H0? gehabt die jetzt bei meinen eltern noch im keller liegen müsste. das ganze ist jetzt 35 jahre her, und die züge und schienen sahen damals schon bei märklin mit abstand am besten aus, aber junge junge 3500 euro

Spur 1 kostet eben mehr , dafür kannst die auch im freien aufbauen . Mit den Gleisen hast recht , märklin hatt die schon immer schön detailliert, mich störte einfach nur der mittelkontakt mit dem dazugehörigen schleifer an den loks .

Zuerst dachte ich so: Whoa, 3500€ is echt heftig. Dann hab ich gesehen, was man heutzutage mit den Modellen durch das ganze digitale Zeug alles machen kann, da erscheinen die 3500 doch schon gerecht. Für das Geld bekomme ich aber einen kompletten High-End PC mit aktueller TOP-Hardware und 4K Bildschirm oder einen kleinen Gebrauchtwagen... verdammt teures Hobby! Ich habe im Regal noch eine 20 Jahre alte Märklin H0 Dampflok und eine ebenso alte E-Lok stehen und wenn ich mir so aktuelle Preise anschaue, werden das auch die einzigen Modelle bleiben.

Wobei H0 Lokomotiven kleiner sind und maximal ca. 1/7 von dieser großen Spur 1 Lok kosten. Die Neukonstruktionen in der Spur H0 brauchen sich vor nichts zu verstecken. Ich glaube, dass Spur 1 nur so teuer ist, weil es ein Nischenmarkt ist. Niemand hat wirklich so viel Platz für so große Fahrzeuge. Da sind die Schienen in H0 günstiger als in 1 oder z

There appears to be a retaining nut missing from the coupling rods on one of the inner axles. (Note: I have a similar but older style model and they are fantastic. I have put batteries and radio control 2.4GHz on mine and run it alongside live steam Spur1 models in the garden.)

Yes, at the testet model really one of the "nuts" was missing from the beginning but I haven´t noticed this during my video-production

Das ist eine kleine Besonderheit meines bei den Aufnahmen eingesetzten Rollenprüfstandes mit Zahnriemen auf der Rückseite, der dadurch auch die nicht von der Lok angetriebenen Räder dreht - das sieht einfach auf dem Rollenprüfstand realistischer aus, als wenn die Laufräder stehen würden.

Boah... Ist sowas teuer! Selbst wenn ich Platz... hätte, würde ich mir nicht leisten können. Aber das Krokodil ist einfach die schönste Lok, finde ich.

Der Preis ist leider generell das Problem bei den aktuellen großen Spur 1-Loks von allen Herstellern. Aber das liegt schon mal grundsätzlich daran, dass man in Spur 1 nur relativ kleine Stückzahlen vermarkten kann. Außerdem sind die Märklin Loks heute nahezu komplett aus Metall gefertigt (Zinkdruckguss) und haben größtenteils Messing-Feingussteile, die von Hand montiert werden müssen. Das frühere Spur 1-Krokodil Ce 6/8 II hatte noch einen Aufbau aus Kunststoff-Spritzguss und die (deutlich weniger vorhandenen) Kleinteile waren ebenfalls aus Kunststoff und wurden vielfach nut gesteckt.

This makes me wish that US 1:32 Manufacturers made models to the same quality as Märklin.... But I don't think that we have enough model railroaders in general not to mention in G scale. Especially considering it's $5k+
