Unboxing new PCW 5000 Portable capscan winch

Tried new PCW5000 portable gas powered winch made from portablewinch.com nearest dealer was Long's Small Engine located in Sussex New Brunswick Canada phone # [phone] this product is made in Quebec Canada. I'm very impressed so far very powerful for the size of the winch pulled out several large logs largest was 20" by 20' long.

Yes it can be hard to maneuver and throw slippery deep snow in the mix can be challenging for sure having fun tho eh!

Have the same winch, but I found myself having to disconnect the low oil sensor. Prevents the thing from starting if you incline too much.

@@williamwallace9620 There is a chance of running the motor dry if you let the motor incline more than 25 degree while it is running. Ideally, you'd want the winch to be on a plate platform that is strap on a tree, which would prevent excessive inclination. As for the reason i disconnected the low oil sensor. I mainly use mine for pulling big game out of bush. Which causes causes the oil to jog around the motor, which in turn causes the oil sensor to think there's no oil in the motor, even though there is. If you want something that runs on all inclinations. I would recommend the new PCW 4000 as a capstan winch. It uses a different honda engine than PCW 5000.

Is this the latest model 5000 for it seems to me these have been around for quite a number of years. Is there a more powerful model etc.?

Not sure u can check on portablewinch.com website I think they have industrial ones... so far I'm very impressed with the power this small machine has... Denis
