Wish there was a Zephyrus G14 2020 vs 2021 model difference side by side. Like every kind of comparison, benchmarks and all including display and battery, comparison so consumers like me would know just how many aspects of this model is different compared to the last years model. I purchased the 2020 version last yr.

Naaa tyere is Only one difference is it's upgraded cpu with ryzen 9 5900hs and GPU with Rtx 3060 80w TDP... The also add 2 microphones for noice cancelling and 100w type c charger. Only Overall it's same as privious generation. Sujest to go with "zyfrus g 15 or strix g15 Or hellios 300, tuf a15 laptops" They all provides value for money performance as well spects.

@@altraacegaming hey mine is pretty back for the buck as well. I got on a bestbuy sale. 1200$ only. 80W TDP on the GPU is the same as last yr. And I think the display is a lot better. They fixed the 40ms response time. And the heating issues have been fixed as well.

@@alvirarahman2690 Hey did you buy this year's model? How much did you pay and how is it going for you?. I'd be cautious with asus laptops though, I'll soon make a small data analysis of this but generally asus gaming laptops have a lot of motherboard failures. Mine had the issue of a MOSFET short and if you watch repair channels like "Northbridgefix" you'll he has a lot of asus laptop repairs. Same goes for "electronics repair school" youtube channel.

I just bought this laptop and it's amazing I mean it's almost the thin-ness of a chromebook but is a lot more rigid. I opened it and instantly downloaded Battlefield 2042, 60 fps at LEAST at every setting on every game mode. I've been using the game as a 2021 stress tester lol. The 100% sRGB is awesome and there's also a 1440p you can get. At a Cyber Monday price of around $1200 to $1300 this is an awesome deal. Maybe a 3070 would increase performance but the R9 with a 3060 works wonders so far. Overall, everything is awesome compared to the 3050ti Dell G15 I returned for this ASUS, lives up to the ROG name.

I dont use premier, but after effects runs smoooth. I do a lot of 3d modeling and rendering, and I can tell you the Zephyrus flies. When 3d rendering images and algo when rendering animations It just saves you a lot of time because it goes very fast, also loading and visualizing heavy sceanery with models with a lot of details and textures it handels very well.

Two questions: 1 - Can you use this laptop to render using 'D5 Renderer. & Question 2 - What is the power brick wattage? - I would have thought you would have covered this important point if you wish to gain premium performance out of the Ryzen/RTX setup. I'm so jealous of you guys in North America. Here in the UK we only get the dark grey version of the 2021 model instead of the gorgeous white finish, plus we can't buy the QHD display version without the AniMe Matrix. Not a dealbreaker, but it would have been so nice to have with the higher end 32GB RAM config since I'd rather save the 2mm thickness and 100g weight.

Since my laptop's webcam got borked, I've been using Iriun webcam and just use a binder clip to plug it onto my screen.

for that model, the ram can only expand up to 24gb so a 16gb 3200mhz is what youll need if you plan to upgrade it.

It has custom fan settings I mine and play high games on it with no problem. There's also a couple of setting fixes in windows that dramatically improve temp control, you can get it running basically cool to touch if you want.

Hello ben, I am considering the purchase of the Asus g14 and I am confused about which model to get, this model or the last year's model, I have couple of questions about this unit mostly about the thermal solution in this unit is it going to solve last years problem and is there any problem with the speakers a lot of reports came from the g15 being the worst speakers ever, and some concerns about the charging cable being loose at the entrance. No, but it will work great with a usb c dock. I run 3 external displays on my g14. Two from the dock and one plugged directly into the g14 hdmi port.

it's right there on the arrow keys, fn + up = page up, etc. I actually like this, since arrow keys are usually in a more sane position than page up/down keys, which seem to be always in weird random locations.
