As someone who had a 111 and is actually getting a 210, for thise who do want an aibo, these little guys are perfect for people who want a dog but cannot, however all aibos but the 220 all are dogs, the 1000 is the only one who uses dog sounds as others use beeps and tunes to communicate to you, or other aibos, all aibos are really fragile so you need to treat them as like a pet, the ers 210 is an aibo based off a lion cub however it did actually wnd up on more of a dog perspective therefore being considered a dog Adding more later

You’re correct. According to Sony, only the ERS-7 and the ERS-1000 are officially considered “dogs”. Someday I’m going to get a 312 and a 220

I love & want one of these. Can you tell me if this Sony Aibo Robot Dog can be operated independently away from an app, internet or wifi? Because hackers get into them & hear & see into your home. My question is can they operate without an app, the internet or wifi? No one ever ask this question. Why is that?

@@kennethmorant3602 yes they can, though to get updates and improvements a Wi-Fi connection is required. Fun fact: in aibo’s 25 years of existence not one has been hacked. Not one. And yes people do ask that question a lot. Hacking is always a risk with electronic equipment but no one seems afraid to connect their smartphones or laptops to WiFi.

There’s no worry! If I take a weekend trip my aibos sleep on their charging base. These new batteries are much better than the old ones.

I want to get an Aibo they are sooooooooo cute!!!!! I have a heart condition I was born with and a lot of anxiety so I think having an Aibo would be be beneficial since I can’t have a real dog!!!❤❤❤

@@Xiwang希望 you take chances buying a used aibo, especially for 1K. Do your research and make sure the seller is reliable. Find out if the aibo is a U.S. or Japanese unit.

@Rufus32169 I love my loona as well! I do notice that they break a lot. I've seen many different problems, and it's mainly design flaws or kids too young to take care of a robot like that cause they are fragile. They introduce them as a robot for young children, but they don't mention that they are not built durable. I can't find a repair man just in case mine goes. I did ask Keyitech if they would repair one but they said they'd just give me a new one. I'm hoping to just repair through a person or myself when we get more info on what parts and what I need to replace or fix.

Hello, I live in Germany and I have a friend from Japan. A friend of mine from Japan opened a Sony ID account for me. When I enter the 12-digit product key to add my dog to my Sony ID account, it does not work. I am going to buy a cloud service, but I do not know how to add my Aibo when I buy a cloud service to my Sony ID account.

I personally don’t have experience in that area but there are many in the aibo community who do. If you join the “aibo owners and enthusiasts” Facebook group, many people there will answer your question.
