Not having redundant features apart from FaceTime because the display was bigger was such a Steve Jobs thing. I wish Apple was still like that. Only one way to do something. If it’s a setting, it had to be in the settings app and your phone messaged and called, then not iPad also

No worries, luckily the items survived. Just use more bubble wrap and tape it around the devices. General rule of thumb - if the package can’t survived a drop from 15ft up, then it’s not packed well enough.
