There was a (BAD) Spawn movie in 1997, but Unbreakable predated the first Hellboy movie by 4 years and the Hellboy reboot by 19. On the DC side, their animated presence was strong, but there was no live-action Superman movie from 1987 until 2013 (26 years, or about the time between the original Star Wars movie and Episode II in the prequels). So there was really almost no comic book superhero presence on the big screen at the time of the X-Men movie and Unbreakable aside from Batman, who was between reboots after Batman and Robin was a bomb in 1997.

@@dongeraci8599 you are the dick Sir. think about it. nobody would call in sick for a week JUST because they never do. why? well one reason is you couldnt. not unless your really dishonest and have half a brain. that much time, theyd want a doctors note. but thats where half a brain and dishonesty comes in. you can easily find a doctors note template online. but still, not likely to happen in my opinion. what that guy PROBABLY meant, was paid sick time that you accumulate similar to PTO, wich many people do use when they arent sick, simply because they earned that time, and sometimes you get a bonus if you dont use it, so the company is paying you either way. either way, let people live thier life, employers can fire people if they fake sick days if its really a problem. and yes i know i have alot of time on my hands to respond to strangers in youtube comments

I think the implication with David was that he was intentionally ignoring parts of himself, including key events in his life, because he didn’t want to believe what he suspected was true. After you do that for such a long time, you grow attached to this false perception of yourself, even if it makes you miserable. So when Elijah rolls in and tells him his theory, the thought starts to creep back into his head and he starts to open himself back up to the possibility and all the little excuses and rationalizations just start to fall away like a house of cards.

My god. The “No I’m not a doctor” line becomes a running gag in the Old pitch meeting, another M night movie

“This guy’s pretty oblivious to most things.” 4:16 You have to basically have dementia to be this level of oblivious.😂

Crazy coincidence. Something reminded me of this movie this morning, I started to think about all of its plot holes, then I see this.

As someone that never got sick, you know you don't get sick. I've been sick 3 times in my life 2 of them I was kid the 3rd was swine flu. I got covid and had a really sore throat but I never feel sick. I get rhe symptoms but I don't get exhaustion

recently discovered your channel. Love it and laugh throughout, especially the accusatory "I don't know"

No problem with acknowledging flaws in a movie and still loving it. The best comedic-criticisms of many things tend to come from genuine fans.

I didn't mind the pacing at all, so... not great points. Loved the movie.
