I mean, that's all set up, though. There's the part where Dr. Exposition explains that one personality can be allergic to something and another is not, meaning their bodies change along with their mind. And she theorizes that people with DID have actually 'evolved' into superhumans. The movie seems to treat DID as a superpower. So - yeah, the Beast has bulletproof skin and can bend steel bars with his bare hands. That's the point.

According to the documentaries and articles I've seen, it's actually pretty normal for people with multiple personalities to keep a diary as a way to communicate with their alters and/or keep track of what they have been doing, so it makes sense that this character would keep a video diary. It's definetely possible that not all the alters would participate in the diary, but it just depends on the person and their specific alters. Sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology, by the way. @Pilgrym522 жыл бұрын
@@Preston241 This series (Unbreakable, Spilt, Glass) is about super powered people, and trauma. The films are slow paced and have a modern day setting. M Night Shyamalan is a hit or miss writer/director, who made a name for himself via twist endings. Unbreakable was slow and focused on intrigue, it's twist IS one of the greatest in cinematic history. Split was a good well paced film, it added dread and mental illness to it's intrigue and trauma. Glass was a miss. It's hard to explain, here's a brief list: Bruce Willis is very tired. Elements were added that felt out of place, if not rushed. The slow paced settings that had meaning in the other films doesn't work. The film has a solid opening act but it's washed away by a rushed and painful ending... ^_^

So today I had a thought. You should do a pitch meeting of something that has tons of inconveniences like a series of unfortunate events. The theme song literally says there's nothing but inconvenience on the way.

Ryan is so good at this that when he made the joke about the guy who changes clothes I was confused for a moment and didn't get what he was referencing. 😀

I really, _really_ think Unbreakable is the inevitable future of superhero movies. But here's the thing: if Marvel _or_ DC tries to go that route people can just go "but Shyamalan did it first." how crazy is that?!
@someunfunnyyoutuber71656 жыл бұрын
Unbreakable styled movies just don't fit most mainstream superheroes
@solvemproblerstudios58896 жыл бұрын
Ace Coordinator Mary I like the idea of unbreakable because it’s about a Street level hero. Marvel is going cosmic but I’d really prefer if they did do a few street films like moon knight, sleep walker, and maybe some new character.

@@solvemproblerstudios5889 they were going that route with their tv shows, too bad Disney cancelled them
@solvemproblerstudios58896 жыл бұрын
InitialPC yeah, I liked Daredevil, but overall I didn’t mind the cancellation of Ironfist and Jessica Jones. I think a Heroes for hire Luke Cage and Ironfist show with the comic book costumes would’ve been great though.

Crip Cooke The first Spider-Man did it well, but he also didn’t have anyone helping him along the way. That’s what I admire about the Tobey Maguire Universe, he’s literally the only Superhero in the entire world ( Aside Doctor Strange apparently) and he is young and has no one to look to, but became one of the most powerful incarnations of Spider-Man of all time. Shazam looks like it could be kinda like unbreakable at first, It’s a kid with insane powers who is only using them to stop corner store robberies.

It does demonstrate a continuation of the story, so I believe it does qualify as a sequel. It is not like there is a hard line amount of detail it would need to be one or the other and there is nothing stopping it from being both.
