You're essentially skipping a middleman with something like Aliexpress. I've never used Temo and won't, but with Aliexpress I've never been scammed, and the packaging is generally pretty light (good enough and proper, but Amazon shipping me a 5 gallon plastic envelope for a 2-inch metal washer is a lot worse). 90% or more of the crap you buy from sites like Amazon are resellers selling this exact stuff (from the same factories), but at a massive markup for the added step (or even not if they just drop-ship it). You're basically telling me to make my own key switches from scratch if they're not for sale down the road at the general store.

Mandolin/cutter thing was presented as 50/50, both rice and slow cooker were presented in good light, not bad, even called out as extra cheap and "you must get if these work". Dumpling maker was meme chase. Popcorn maker worked, because of course it worked - it's one of the simplest appliances ever, hard to screw up even if cutting corners. So was egg steamer because, again, simple. Then they've shown a whole lot of asian products that you could get for food prep. Even the pasta maker, which obviously screwed up because those holes are too close, they defended in "must have been bad recipe". So really, where is that "con game" or "trickery" or "warnings"? If someone was to cut out the dice cutter and dumpling maker, there would be literally nothing bad about TEMU in the video, and even those two bits were treated as meme, not as "hey, TEMU cheap crap".

I gave it one chance purchasing about $75 worth of stuff . After all their 'spin the wheel' discount games, i ended up paying about $30. I'd rate the quality of what I received 8/10. The key is to buy things that are hard to screw up: T shirts? Yes! Simple unpowered kitchen tools? Yes! Stickers? Yes! 4-pack of of top of the line FPV drones for $15? Probably not. The only other thing to keep in mind is that their shipping time will be longer that their competitors like Wish and Alibaba. Something about how to make all of their products as they're ordered, instead of maintaining giant warehouses full of them somewherer? I dunno. Someone did a really good video explaining it all on youtube here. Look around a bit and I'm sure you'll find it...

Temu doesn’t have the resources to verify the video is in compliance with sponsorship contract. Uncle knows this so he can openly expose the sweatshop and child labor practices. Many Temu employees probably appreciate trash talking Temu in the video so this is good. 👍
