Cyrus Levy Sometimes as an engineer, you don't get to place the teleporter facing the right way. I try to do it most of the time(and I do), but sometimes priorities hit and other player's comfort is at the very bottom of the list.

Cyrus Levy No, there were plenty of times where it was a choice between hitting M2 twice or rushing over to save my sentry. That's what I mean by priorities. Sometimes you're an aggressive engie and there's simply not enough time. You got a level 3 teleporter that gets you to where you want to go, nitpicking over "is it facing a wall or not" is really not necessary. Is it a slight annoyance? Sure, but it's not going to make me complain. Also, I might add mistakes are made, sometimes I put the tele down by mistake and there's not enough time to fix it. Like I said, priorities. There's a lot an engie needs to do within a certain time frame, and making it NOT face the wall is at the bottom of the list. If it can get done, then good, if not then the team will have to deal with spawning in facing the wall.

MsLalaUsagi If you have enough time to put down a teleporter, you have enough time to hit M2 twice. For me it's just instinct at this point. Whenever I play engineer I reflexively hit M2 before placing it. It takes about a tenth of a second, and I can count the amount of times I've lost a building because of it on one hand.

This loadout works miracles Uncle. Dominated 4 people, including one that was purposefully targeting me from the get-go. Only real problem is that you get so many crits that you don't know what to do with all that power, 30 just causes so much stress!

minecraftaddictXD I'd say that if you ever get around 5 kills/10 assists, destroy your own sentry gun when you can and rebuild another one. There's no way you can benefit from having 30 crits unless you're some sort of God and are able to stay alive long enough to use all of them. I actually never upgrade the sentry past level 2 when I play Frontier/Jag because I don't want my gun to survive long enough to get 10 kills in a single "sentry life". Anyway, I'm glad you're having fun with the loadout, I actually would like to do a video on the FJ because it's such an underused weapon that I think allows for a really fun alternative playstyle.

Random thought. Valve should add a upgrade for engi in mvm. If the dispenser is close enough to the sentry it can heal and restock it. It useful if you have to run to fight flanking enemies.

The Half Zatoichi is based off of the Katana, the Katana is sharp, and the Half Zatoichi cleaves peoples heads off, just like a real Katana could. Pinguinojdo ...you can keep 20 uber yes, but you are literally making yourself more likely to die. That 20 uber you save for the next life will not mean anything if you just keep dying. It isn't the worst tf2 weapon, but compared to the others, it falls a bit. If it gave you a speed boost or something else, it could be a pretty useful melee for medic, but otherwise, it is kinda bad, at least in my opinion. You are entitled to your opinion though.

I've been playing a "battle engy" as you call it for years now and I always used the old jag just because ANY increase in sentry build speed was critical. This update is fantastic for me, I just can't play defensive engy anymore, I get bored too easy. Although I use the regular shotgun (and the short circuit) because I find as an offensive engy you often have to fight your way to behind enemy lines to set up a sweet ass flanking sentry (or even just to a good offensive spot). That's when the 3 extra bullets really come in handy and the short circuit is super useful for shutting down soldiers and demos. Actually this is pretty much all I do in TF2 anymore.

I think you forgot to mention that the Jag uses more metal to repair the same amount of damage as the stock wrench, because of its reduced repairs per hit. Also, the rescue ranger's HPS is only 120 for a short while, before you have to reload the bolts. Over a longer time, it goes down significantly. Otherwise, great video!

As a main Soldier and Engi, I view the Jag similar to the Freedom Launcher. Both deal less damage while being able to attack faster (larger clip-size, faster hitting). From the view of the Soldier, this is a downside against heavies. From the view of the Engi, against Spies. So if you got time to hit your sentry more often, you can do it, but I still prefer Stock Wrench.

I love the Gun Metal update change to let you change wrenches without blowing up your buildings! I play a lot of 2Fort, so keeping my nest up is a premium, but getting that L2 up fast is vital at the start of a game when the scouts are rushing in hoping your're team is not set up yet. Also, when your nest gets destroyed, the Jag helps get it back up before the guy who destroyed it respawns and comes back to your side of the map. But once I get my nest up, especially if there are schpee's in play, I like the Southern Hospitality, because them bleeding dead ringers are easier to hunt down!

+Malohn Part of the stock sniper's appeal in comparison to the Bazaar Bargain is a consistent, unchanging charge time. If you charged your sniper rifle just enough to one-shot a Soldier, you'd save time while taking them out in a single shot. With the Bazaar Bargain, your charge times will change as you score headshot kills. Another problem with the Bazaar Bargain is you might get attached to your 5+ headshot kills, die, rage, and now have a personally screwed up aim whereas with the stock sniper rifle you might have just shrugged instead. As for Spies and the Kunai, well, the Dead Ringer can't really save you now. And the Big Earner's minor health penalty makes you very unlikely to survive two melee or two well-aimed shotgun blasts... plus not being immune to afterburn like you would with the Spycicle.

"Why use stock when the Bazaar Bargain is pretty much better?" Because sometimes you have to resort to a bodyshot to get that badly needed medic pick to prevent the enemy from uber-pushing. A fully charged bodyshot one-shots a Medic.

The jag might honestly be a direct upgrade. Not in the same way as third degree, PBPP, and solemn vow where they’re technically direct upgrades but you’re still putting yourself at a disadvantage by not using other, better weapons, but the kind of direct upgrade that’s meta.

"The Jag is OP! VOLVO PLS NERF!" There are just some players on TF2 who will piss and moan about fucking any change or buff any class gets if it's not one they play. HOW the hell anyone could call the Jag OP is beyond me; all it does is make offensive Engineering slightly easier without having to be restricted to the Gunslinger. Defensive Engineering is still much better with the burst healing of the stock Wrench, and the spy-checking and insane damage that the Southern Hospitality adds. Oh but the Jag got a buff during the GM update so let's all complain about how CRAZY OP it is.

Depends on what you play. On pubs, it literally means nothing. In comp, it varies from class to class, but stock is usually best.
