Yes, I am convinced the large price increases in the 2025 Mustang V8s versus the 2024s (with no ac tual changes other than a couple options being made standard) is to further subsidize their MASSIVE losses on the EV boondoggle. Well they can keep the '24 and '25 Mustangs. Those cheesy screens in place of a proper instrument panel are a deal breaker for me anyways.

The problem with making those EVs on a by-order basis is it multiplies the production cost and the MSRP. The price of everything else also increases because of the overhead cost required to maintain a production line that isn't selling. They'd also be forced to keep that platform in a battery-capable state, dooming any hope of cutting enough weight to make the gas versions competitive. They need to rip the band-aid off, and drop it completely.

So the responsibility is on the common man to simply speak with his wallet and not spend one penny on this EV novelty garbage - regardless of who says how good they are.
@anotherperspective624722 күн бұрын
With the crazy emissions standards that were thankfully just thrown out basically the US government required automakers to spend crazy amounts on EV R&D even if that's not what consumers (the market) wants. Not just the US auto industry but Europe is in deep doo-doo as well from this government interference and nonsense.
@mongo6407122 күн бұрын
💯 agree. They can’t afford to ruin the brand’s reputation further right before they try to make a comeback. It’s counterproductive to building a muscle car brand. Back in the day, Chrysler used to sell stripper versions of its muscle cars to make them light and affordable. That’s what they should do to the EV. Rip out all the fake crap and nonsense that just drives up the price and adds weight. Should just be a battery and motors. Analog controls or provide open software platform like leafspy for the leaf so owners can customize their own car the way they want.

First off another great video bro! I hope you're having a happy holidays. And you know it is sad because I do like the way the car looks but aside from the way that the car looks everything else is bad and that's being nice. I don't understand why companies just can't take their time and do a good job. Get it right the first time and you'll always have happy customers. But it's funny you mentioned that Tesla adjusted their prices. Not only did they adjust their prices but for their plaid addition, which is the fastest card that they sell. They now sell it with free supercharging for life. It's attached to the VIN of the car when you buy it. I don't think anything can compete with that. 0 to 60 in The low 2 seconds area over a thousand horsepower about 420 mi of range on a single charge and free supercharging for life. All for about $85,000 depending on what trim level you choose and what add-ons you choose, maybe $90,000 after destination charges. That's kind of worth it. Just on paper that's worth it and the free supercharging alone makes it worth it. Anyway. Have a good one bro. I'll catch you on the next one.

TESLA's charging infrastructure is SECOND TO NONE in America. I have a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq and I didn't feel comfortable even thinking of attempting a cross country drive or road trip (which I wouldn't do anyway) until I got the Tesla NACS adapter. Tesla charges non-Tesla/non-members so much I wouldn't really want to use them anyway, but I keep the adapter in my car for emergency purposes.

Unfortunately the amount of money that probably went in to designing that charger is probably astronomical and they will probably keep selling it to hopefully recoup some of that investment. That being said they need to offer a hemi or v8 because it will only help their sales on the EV side. Offer a wide body EV and fix its issues.
@PassportBrosBusinessClass22 күн бұрын
STELLANTIS invested a LOT of money and resources into going Electric. Whether they were right or not will be a matter of history looking back 10 years from now. But the reality is they had to modernize. What you've seen is a movement to digitize the car. Lincoln got rid of their V8 engines a while ago in everything but Trucks. GM is going electric as quickly as possible, but they're doing it slowly and cautiously. Dodge's problem is that without V8 engines, they're irrelevant. Same goes for RAM. Only time will tell, but I don't see them turning this around. In the mean time, I sold most of my Stellantis position and rotated into dividend paying credit card stocks. Discover, Visa, Mastercard and Amex.

Why do you think this car was put into Windsor assembly plant , whose main product is the Pacifica minivan. This charger is just filler for that plant to keep the lines running. Adding to the reputation of bad quality. Are they trying to get everyone to see that everything they make is a POS.

If you give Kuniskis truth serum, he'd tell you he signed off on the Charger EV, Fratzonic exhaust, fake gear shifting, software upcharge, etc to keep his job as long as possible. And don't worry about CDJR losing $ 40k per vehicle as they won't sell enough to matter. They should offer a bargain basement Charger with the Pentastar V6....they'd sell thousands to those who just want a non- egg shaped car with a reliable ICE driveline.

One thing I dont understand is why did stallantis go all in on ev only. When they had the new hurricane going in other stallantis products. Why couldn’t they give us the I.C.E engines while doing the E.V. At least we would have more 2024 dodge charger on the road today then lots empty.

Anything that is in the pipeline is all trash. If they wiped the slate clean, we are 3 to 5 years from correcting this ship. Hot take: I think that the 2025 Charger's passenger compartment extends a little too far back before sloping down, as a coupe it looks odd while it is okay-ish for a four door sedan. I understand that the 1968 Charger had that feature too (and I don't like that one either, although to be fair I don't like many cars that most people like. For example I think the 1956 Continental Mark II is overrated looks-wise, but I digress), but I think that the outgoing Charger actually looks better, especially with the 2016 facelift that made its exterior styling still relevant to this day. Second hot take: Dodge should just go back to the 2016-2024 Charger, redo the interior (especially the dashboard) and call it a day.

There is a way to salvage this car. It has some good features, it rides well, has a lot of room, handles well and the base version has decent range. If you turn off that idiotic fratzoninic fake exhaust system it's also very quiet. It may be a terrible Charger but it could be an excellent Chrysler Imperial. They need to do the following, 1) Fix the software, it needs major work. It doesn't have the most basic EV functions like route planning and battery preconditioning. This is software, it's fixable. 2 ) Put on a NACS port, driver's side rear please so it doesn't take up two spaces at a Supercharger. They have an agreement with Tesla, use it. Superchargers completely fix the road tripping issues. 3) Delete that fake exhaust. It offends EV enthusiasts and V8 lovers alike. It's a waste of money and weight. 4) License FSD from Tesla or at least put in a Mobile Eye system. Their ads brag that they don't have self driving. That's a bug not a feature. I have FSD in my Model 3, it's still not perfect but it's getting better and better. I would never buy a car without it. I love being chauffeured by my car. Charger drivers might not appreciate that but Chrysler drivers would. 5) Price it around $50K, certainly under 60K. Chrysler.always offered near luxury cars. They weren't quite Cadillacs but they weren't priced like Cadillacs either. I had a Concorde and a 300C. They were very comfortable cars at a fair price. Nobody is going to pay $80K for a Chrysler product but they will pay 50-60.
