Korda Thinking Tackle Podcast

Күн бұрын

Thinking Tackle Podcast UNCUT with Tom Dove, Damian Clarke, Neil Spooner, and Adam Reed discussing various topics in and around the carp fishing world. This latest version of the podcast will be released alongside the regular guest-oriented podcast episodes.
In the first episode of this new format, the group discussed Dovey's recent trip to Gigantica, during which he witnessed the capture of the immaculate common, which weighed a whopping 98lb.
Furthermore, Damian Clarke also revisited some of his emphatic big carp captures. They all discussed the shot on the hook and even tried to solve an issue in Neil Spooners' UK carp fishing!

Guys, this was great and on Tom’s point at the end, talking about controversial issues in angling - what are your thoughts on: A) The twig and its place in angling (if any)? B) To Adam Pennings point on Facebook commenting on OMC’s hinge stiff & the ridiculous amount of components to what should be a simple rig. Profit over functionality 🤷🏽‍♂️

A good listen. It would be intriguing to hear the arguments for selling products you don’t allow on your own waters. Leadcore etc. I know it’s not an issue exclusive to Korda but would be interesting to hear it discussed from a business and moral standpoint!

Great podcast lads, definitely keep it up! Id be interested to hear about new and upcoming products, things that are in development or things that got really close then you pulled them? Are Korda going to release reels, bivvys, bed chairs? Or jusr stick to what you do now.

I was on the road lake that week of doveys social and what a absolutely amazing bunch of lads. My mate Fred was on the main lake with them that week. We heard the shout on the Friday night and the euphoria that ensued. Chatting to dovey on the sat morning, he showed us the picture's They have a sling just for that fish, which is absolutely obscene in size.. Fantastic podcast fellas

A friend of mine caught the immaculate after John Mann and it was 73.10 and he had it from the Alamo. On bullets trip in sept 2014. It was braced with a mid 60 as well. So it has been caught from the end that Tom said hadn’t done a capture. We all said that fish would grow on to be 100lbs. It had so much more room to grow. Glad we were almost proved right 😂

Just wandered about hook sharpness! Love the Kamakuras however I've had more hookpulls using them than ever before! I change back to a normal widegape, possibly have fewer bites but very rarely suffer a hookpull.... using the same slip D rig with both types of hook. Wonder if you slighty change your rigs to incorporate the Kamakuras?

Bait .. shelf life or frozen for the long term of fishing as there's more an more shelf life bait going into lake's and the long term health of the carp on its use. Would be an interesting topic especially having the views from the likes of Simon Scott

I know everyone will want the guys to talk about Ali and the twig, I really don’t see the guys casting shade on a former colleague. We all know the stir the product made in the scene and I don’t think the lads will add anything extra to that. If you ever need a spot filling please bring in Carl as I could honestly listen to him talk for hours and as a Korda member he has been a huge influence on so many anglers, especially the younger generation. A topic I’d like to be discussed is your fishing pet peeves, finding out what makes each persons blood boil I think would be a funny topic to talk about. Great content guys, love this format. Keep it up!!
