Bringing up the loss to the '86 Celtics as a knock against Jordan is laughably stupid. That Celtics team is arguably top 5 all time and Jordan averaged 44 ppg for the series with no help. He was the only reason any of those games were even competitive.
Exactly how many ringless HOF didn't eat because of Bird (3-5 finals record) and Magic (5-9 finals record)? Jordan got his first ring off of Magic. (Magic is my favorite btw) Jordan got 6 rings in 8 yrs. How long has Bron played? He's only got four from moving to better situations and only two came back to back so he's never dominated like Mike did. He could always lay a claim to being the best player while someone else raised the Larry O'Brian over their head which doesn't make any sense. You don't even have to use the totality of MJ's career to end the Bron argument. Bron defenders use his whole career against 1 of Jordan's 3 peats. It's not a debate never has been to many of Bron's peers have beaten him for him to be ahead of MJ. 💯

It took Allen saving him from elimination in a sure win of a 5 point lead with 23 seconds to go in 99.999998% of games ever played. The Spurs came back the following year with a Gentleman's Sweep to remind the world that both titles were really theirs. This forces him to leave to join the Cavs. Once again, were it not for Kyrie Irving killing it in game 3 at home, that series ends in another sweep at home with no 7th game dagger. He literally sustains a back to back ass whipping so severe, he literally quit in both series and benches himself with entire quarters to go. How's that for goat? Nick thought LeBron was the greatest player ever after 2016. He's been wrong on just about every single thing that comes out of his mouth. LeBron just doesn't stack up against Michael Jordan. Maybe the on court product, especially in the regular season was better, but Jordan literally never had an objectively bad playoff series. I'm not saying LeBron should've carried Cleveland to 2007 and 2018 Finals wins, because the odds were definitely not in his favor, but if he was the G.O.A.T., he wouldn't have gotten swept in both series. Not to mention, if he plays average in the 2011 Finals, they beat Dallas in 6.

Jordan came back after a 3 year layoff to play with the Wizards when he was 38 years and 8 months old. Jordan turned 39 4 months into that 2002 season. Jordan basically played at 39 and 40 years old for the Wizards. That first season he had the Wizards at a 26-21 record at the all star break and his game was improving averaging 25pts 6 boards and 5 assists. Those were prime Kobe numbers at the age of 39. Jordan then tore the miniscus in his knee not from pushing himself physically but from a freak accident from his Wizard teammate running into Jordan after a play was over. Jordan retired in the summer of 93 only because he was in mourning from his Father being shot and murdered. In 98 Jordan retired because the general manager Jerry Krause broke up the team and fired Coach Phil Jackson. Had Jordan not retired from the Bulls those two times he would have 8 to 10 chips. All in a freakin row!!!!

@jaysandi882 жыл бұрын
this sounds like the Jordan narrative we've always been given to try and cover the cracks in the legacy... cause according to Jordan fans.. he NEVER put a foot wrong. thing is, nobody forced Jordan to quit in 98, NOBODY. He couldve gone to any team he wanted. Nobody forced him to come back in 01 either. if hes in the league hes good enough to play no? the dad dying excuse is an old one, which is ironic because you all always say how mentally tough Jordan was. how many players have had their parents die DURING the season (not in the off season like Jordan) and still play the very next game? thats an EXTREMELY WEAK argument. Jordan wouldnt have won 8 straight, because he was fatigued and had to load manage. And so what if Phil Jackson quit... if hes the GOAT shouldnt he prove it by winning in any and all situations? with any coach.. any other teammates... other franchise. Jordan retiring was the best thing for his legacy. it gave him the energy to three peat twice...

To be fair, I hate the whole "Jordan made the playoffs each of his first three seasons while LeBron didn't" argument. In Jordan's rookie season, the Bulls finished with 38 wins and got the 7th seed while in LeBron's rookie season, the Cavs had 37. In Jordan's second season, he was injured for a majority of it and the Bulls only won 30 games, earning the 8th seed......they only got it because the Knicks, Cavs and Pacers had worse records than the Bulls. In LeBron's second season, the Cavs had 42 wins and barely missed the playoffs (Nets had the same record and got the nod). In Jordan's third season, the team won 40 games and were the 8th seed again while LeBron and the Cavs won 50 and made the playoffs as the 4th seed. Nick Wright is an idiot. Saying Jordan went to the playoffs his first three years while LeBron did not like it's this big accomplishment Jordan has over Lebron is using his idiotic rhetoric......it's the same thing as Wright shitting on Jordan for going 1-9 in the playoffs. Both examples have contest behind them. Jordan carried a shit team to get just good enough records into the playoffs and then were outmatched by better teams.......LeBron had the better all-around team and in three years, the team was able to make it to the playoffs and do so in dominate fashion. That is the only pro-Jordan argument that I do not like.......and I'm a big time pro-Jordan as the GOAT supporter

Lebron played one team 4 times in the finals (Golden State) and only beat them ONCE, he even got swept. MJ won every finals his team played. And before anyone says he went to the playoffs 10 times let me insert this argument, he played in a weak Eastern conference where he was a dominant player and he STILL had to join three other all-stars to do that - and STILL lost two of the four finals he played in Miami. Honestly, he hasn't passed Kobe's accomplishments, but we're comparing him to MJ?

LeBron has a 73% win percentage against Kobe in the regular season despite Kobe usually having the better team. When LeBron was on the Cavs the first time Kobe was in his prime and had a way better team and LeBron still usually came out on top. In fact out of all of Kobe’s opponents his lowest win percentage came against LeBron. The only thing Kobe has on LeBron is scoring. Throughout LeBron’s career overall he was the better defender for the first thirteen years. Despite both Kobe and LeBron having played 19 seasons in each, LeBron has more points assists and rebounds. (Rebounds doesn’t really matter since LeBron is bigger) Kobe only has two Finals MVPS despite having five championships meanwhile LeBron has four championships and four finals MVPS and four regular season MVPS. Also Kobe only has one MVP. I know LeBron played in a weaker conference, but at the end of the day LeBron is beating who’s in front of him. Also LeBron won in the west just two years ago. Hey “Uncut” great stuff as usual!! There’s at least one person out there that knows the truth about how these talking heads try to bring MJs legacy down! They’ve been doing it for so long,so glad ur making these types of videos bro. This ‘debate’ is a joke!
@fuddyduddie12052 жыл бұрын
While I am watching this video, and the highlights within it, I’ve noticed that MJ is lightning, and Lebron is thunder, when analyzing their play styles. Both are forces of nature, you’re scared of both, but one actually shocks you, while one surprises you. You can’t see either of them coming. In this analogy we also see the killer instinct the lighting possessed, that the thunder doesn’t. We can see one is more focusing on embarrassing you, and one is just playing his absolute best. MJ really came to destroy his opponents and that is the clear difference between he, and Lebron James. It wasn’t anything friendly about the way he dunked on Barkley and that’s what Lebron was missing vs some of his friends. This isn’t about who’s the Goat just pointing out that clear cut difference in their attacking styles. MJ is the Goat in my eyes but I understand why younger people choose Lebron, and older heads choose Kareem.

Lebron James is the worst superstar. He became relevant when he planned the Miami Heat Superteam, started to crowned himself as GOAT when he didn't even won yet then destroyed by the Mavs in 2011, had to stacked his team again to face the young Thunder then destroyed again by the old Spurs and 22 years old Kawhi.

@@stupidrules1000 That's far from the only agreement for MJ. Lebron has been in the league 19 years. And only has 4 rings. As apposed to MJ 15 years and 6 rings. Which career would someone havd eaten he most in?

@@MALLYGEEZ1 But nobody is saying that "nobody ate on lebrons watch." So there is no need to make a rebuttal to that point. So, in this instance, there is no argument to apply to lebron. I don't believe anyone could've galvanized that Chicago team but Jordan. He demanded that they up their game. Without him,their careers wouldn't be talked about and I don't believe any one of them would All-Star caliber,except maybe Pippen,although he didn't have the confidence to be a dominant force until playing with Jordan. Many names on that team would've been footnotes in basketball history.

Well said young man! I am an old head that was born and raised in Chicago and watched Michael Jordan from the very beginning. For Nick to try to knock Jordan in his early years is downright stupid and ridiculous. People tend to forget that my team could not win 30 games in a season before Michael came. People also forget that he broke his foot the next season and didn't have another full season until 1987. 1987/1988 season was when he won MVP, defensive player of the year, and he averaged over 37 points per game! Not to mention in the 1986 Eastern conference playoffs Michael Jordan dropped 63 points on Larry Bird and company. People also forget that when he was going up against the Detroit Pistons he averaged over 37 points per game. Forget the fact that they were literally trying to take him out. People don't realize that a few points here or there could have won the series.

I think Jordan and LeBron are the two greatest NBA players of all time. I think they’re both amazing. I used to be fully sold on Jordan as my #1, but LeBron is racking up some insane longevity. Kareem is my #3 and another insane player. I don’t get why people get so nasty and mean to each other when talking about sports debates. We can all be civil. I think things like ESPN when people just shout at each other don’t exactly help the culture of civil debate either.
@stupidrules10002 жыл бұрын
I agree with the sentiment. I just disagree with the longevity argument. I think at every stage of their careers lebron was better at Jordan in every aspect of the game. And I think the stats bare this out, except in ppg. (But I also think that this past year showed us that lebron was probably right when he said, lime 15 years ago, that if he wanted to lead the league in scoring every year, he could). Also, I have Wilt as #1. And I honestly have never seen a strong argument against him.
@omosango78702 жыл бұрын
The intangibles and mental fortitude (or deficit thereof) knocks LeBron out of my personal top 3. MJ, KAJ, Kobe, Shaq, then LeBron. But then again I always preferred 🏈. I was a Lakers fan, and my top 5 has 4 Lakers in it. Bird and Magic top the next 5, not necessarily in that order of course. My all time favorite player is Sir Charles tho. Edit to add... Wilt belongs at 1 or 2, actually, sorry. And I should rank Magic and bird higher. Look, it is useless to argue these things. Let's just be thankful these men entertained us and brought joy to their fans. I salute them ALL.

@@stupidrules1000 I feel like Wilt gets slept on a lot lately as a GOAT candidate. I remember growing up reading his records in sports almanacs and stuff like that, and just being blown away. But he was great at every aspect of the game, from being one of the greatest defenders ever to leading the league in assists one year, from my memory. He just had the misfortune of going up against the greatest basketball (or sports) dynasty in history. Just like LeBron was up against the Warriors during his greatest years.

@stupidrules10002 жыл бұрын
@@omosango7870 But I also agree....Wilt has been number 1 on my list since I started thinking critically about this 6 or 7 years ago.
