Upper level ran for 9 days it was literally raining in the house and condensation on everthing over 3 floors. 4 years and a gederal judge to get paid by the insurance. Don't use Amica they're actually more expensive and claim to be good. Go with Chubb if you can, go for Electric if you don't have a big enough house. State Farm you literally don't have full coverage, that's why it's cheap. I'm a contractor and now a restoration expert. NEVER use the restoration crews they send by to clean up to do the repairs. Let them clean it up and dry it out then shop for contractors. Those companies work for the insurance company and have a contracted rate, if they can't get it done for the rate they come up with a story of how it should be done cheap. Put a straight edge against any fo their work and you'll understand.

You know… I am sure you have a video posted that I just haven’t gotten to yet… and I’m sure if I took the time I could figure out what the clamp/compression connections are called and lookup what I’m curious about… and I will, this comment for me more serves as a reminder to look into it when I have more time… but… are those primarily just cut off when needed to be removed? What’s the procedure when your through wall pipe has gotten too short without effecting the ID? Compression coupling? Or replaces the whole pipe? Thanks. Pro Press is the brand for those fittings an tool. Couple other companies have versions now also. Basically commercial tech sized down for residential. Fittings run $ 8 to $30 a piece. Faster and pro press fitting will last longer than a standard soldered fitting.

Some places rent them, call supply houses. But often it's the larger 3" and up tool. They expect you to have that 2k unit if your buying from them.😊 There isn't a generic yet so I think the patents are in place for a while. Give it another 10 years.

Since most of that repair, which I thought was GREAT, was in copper. Do you have issues of theft after the install has been completed? Around my area I've seen copper gutters stolen off a home before.

I'm a bit confused, the main shutoff is the right side prv is only going to relate the sprinkler system? What about the house pressure?

I found putting the PRV after the sprinkler tee prevents water pressure drop in the house when the irrigation kicks on.

I found that not regulating the irrigation causes the sprinkler valves to break frequently

Hmmmmm. Never seen the sprinkler valves break from either install. I just notice a significant house pressure drop when sprinklers are on. Enough that we’ve removed countless PRVs and installed them after sprinklers to alleviate the issue for the customers. I honestly don’t care about the irrigation I just want the real plumbing inside the house to not be effected and the PRV placement is a crucial part of the domestic system working properly. Sprinkler operate at 30-40 psi way lower then house pressure. So the irrigation controls that are being broken that your experiencing is from the pressure not being stepped down at the irrigation control valves not the PRV which wouldn’t adequately reduce the irrigation pressure to 30 psi since your PRV is at 50-60 PSI. But having the PRV where you have it will indeed drop the pressure of the domestic system significantly from my 30 years of experience. Still love to see your enthusiasm for plumbing. Your not wrong there’s more then one way to skin a cat but there’s usually a META way.
