The triggerman turned me onto the 717. I have enjoyed spraying with the gun so far. If anything Porfiss should be a wake up call to the high dollar manufacturers that the ones working in the booths all day need quality tools that won’t cost them a month’s pay. Awesome vid!

I have a PRD-715 1.3mm and just got the PHS-155 1.8MM for primer. Sprays high build better than anything I have used and I have used a lot. Pps 2.0 adapter is S2c.

Looks good UPK I got that PRD 715 I love it that gun lay all 3 phases down flat you know sealer base clear and I spray 90line up in MD I got the PRD 717 on it’s way as we text lol can’t wait to try that one to but yeah trigger got us all started on those paint guns shout out to trigger.!!!!!

Amazing finish from a budget gun there PK, these Porphis guns seem to be everywhere atm I had the PRD715 and the PRD625 on loan a while back and I now have the WP99 1.4 which is a side cup setup on loan and all three guns just spray spot on it's hard to find any issues with them for the price as they seem just as good as my WS400 Series2 and my X5500 RP, what's not to like👏👌👍John UK

Man that gun sprays real nice after seeing triggerman using the 717 I'd say that one is as nice as that gun if not nicer I'm also going to send you some still pictures of what I did yesterday it's looking better but it's still dry lacquer paint and clear is not like regular clear where you can add hardener to it but I'll send you some more pictures

Where do you recommend to buy paint from and clear ? And how much would I need I need to buy paint for a 2005 300c that I just sanded the clear due to peeling everywhere w 600 grit as advised only painting outside of car if that makes a difference in quantity thanks in advance

I don’t buy paint online so I honestly don’t know who I could recommend but if you have a local paint store I would check with them and depending on the color and the brand you may need a gallon of paint or less, it really depends on what you go with

I'd be curious how the weight compares to the R500. I feel like a lot of budgeet guns would be on the heavy side compared to some of the high dollar ones that probably have aluminum bodies, so that seems like a fair comparison. Also, for people not using PPS cups (or similar) I'd rather have a clear or semi-transparent cup, but that might just be me.

It would be cheaper (for the manufacturer) to sell them without and then sell PPS cups seperately. Afteer using the Harbor Freight ones when I painted my last car, I don't see not using them again.

Some of these companies regardless of who manufacturers them have done well with getting them to lay a nice finish, but how long will they last is to be seen, I hate to say it but budget guns is about all I have and they all do a great job, but I don't paint every day so to say how long they will last, well that's to be determined !

Hi UPK - would you consider this gun a LVLP? Apologies if this question is dumb but just checking. I picked up one r33 and want to paint it. And also a few MKIV Supras I imported. I bought a Fuji Platinum Q5 last year, have not used it yet but this gun's results looks awesome compared to the r500/a610 videos you made. I have been following you for a long time actually when you made one of your first small compressor videos and will continue to watch mainly because of your humbleness towards everyone and their comments and the time you take to reply and share your knowledge. Ready for primer, then thinking sand primer with 600 the color, the clear, I'm I missing any steps? First time doing this! Lol

@UndergroundPaintKing overall project. I have multiple lvlp guns, but this one looks perfect for the price. It states that I could use hvlp intermittent 🤦🏿‍♂️. Lvlp is what I'm stuck with until I upgrade my garage to 240v I see
