Turned 30 last month. Still haven’t “grown out of it”, my love for dark, heavy, unsettling music as a means of expression rather than suppression and subsequent duplicity. I remember listening to underoath all through high school and college. This makes me feel like I’m back to myself, in a good way.

The drums specifically the chorus snare parts are insane I’ve been looking for this live and it doesn’t look like they have this song down live yet, which makes sense since Aaron would have to do those complex snare rides with the vocal melodies which I’ve never heard him do.

I hope you guys see this: you have been my favorite band for closer to 20 years. Clutch Cargos 2004 was one of the greatest nights of my life with my best friend, it was crazy how perfect everything was from the set to the crowd to the environment; we met Chris Dudley back at Columbus Warped in ‘04 or ‘05 randomly walking after your set and you actually stopped and took the time to talk with us and take pictures; my friends and I literally waited until midnight at Meijer for the Define The Great Line CD to get stocked on the shelf and spent the next 24 memorizing the lyrics and cheesing out over how it was the literal perfect progression. The fact you guys are back doing this consistently is unreal to me. I just want you guys to know how much you truly mean to some people. You were the reason I wanted to scream. Your work brought that passion out in me. And even now, years past it all, that passion never goes away. And I get to feel that again with this new album. Thank you so much. This is a lot but I know in my heart you guys get it. The new album is going to help a lot people, because we all listen to music to feel. I’ll probably get some trolls for this being so emo 🖤 but it’s worth it.
