Two years ago, while hiking on a local trail, I came across a woman who had killed herself a day or two before I found her. She had walked off the trail a few yards to do it, but it was easy to miss her body when walking by. She had "DNR" written on a note taped to her chest. When I hear the chorus to this song, it hits me hard.

I am a quadriplegic and today is my 33rd birthday today. This last year, I lost my house, cars, relationships, caretakers. I know I’m a good person, just sometimes it’s hard not to feel like you want to disappear. Especially when you rely on others as heavily as I do to exist day by day. This song has helped me so much. Thank you for putting raw emotion into a song. I’ve been a fan for over 17 years now. This is album is fire, I bought the vinyl, keep it up.

@@robertwells1408 What I LOVE about this band is that if you ask any Underoath fan what their favorite album by them is, you'll almost always get a different answer every time. While most will agree Define had the most impact on the scene, I personally think Lost in the Sound of Separation was their best work. My friend thinks Disambiguation is their best. Hell, I've met people that think The Changing of Times was their best. It seems like if you like metal, Underoath almost certainly has an album you'll love. NO ONE can do what this band does, that's an indisputable fact.

It's been about a year since I've felt any kind of normal No But yet another day goes by, I'm stuck inside my busy mind It's awful, I know How come I can't tell you I'm breaking down? If I keep on treading water, I'll drown I'll drown Help me, I'm way too scared to exist So write this down Please don't resuscitate Lead me to where the light ends Free my mind You're better off this way Where the world spins without me I'm your thorn I'm your thorn, thorn, thorn (I'm your thorn) Falling apart at the seams There's nothing left for me to take If I stay quiet now, no one will know when I disappear Disappear Honestly, I can't believe that I let myself even get here I'm stuck here Help me, I'm feeling like I don't exist So write this down Please don't resuscitate Lead me to where the light ends Free my mind You're better off this way Where the world spins without me I'm your thorn I'm your thorn, thorn, thorn (I'm your thorn) I wish that you could see what I do I wish I was a window you saw through Your idea of the truth, it blocks the view I'm the window you can't see through Don't resuscitate Lead me to where the light ends You're better off this way Where the world spins without me I'm your thorn Thorn I wish that you could see what I do I wish I was a window you saw through Your idea of the truth, it blocks the view I'm the window you can't see through (I wish)

Antagonistic Cyber Transforming Aggressive Relevant Agony Dark Underoath again reassuring us that we are all in this together through these changing of times… This album is so different from their past lyrics, as if it has some sort of reverse psychological effect (at least for me) that outputs the same hopeful lyrics from the past but this time in a dark-pessimistic, cut-throat theme. I’ve been a fan of Underaoth since act of depression. I was a pre-teen. I’ve listened to every transformation over the years and ill have to say that this feels like Underoath’s strongest and final form. They are at their highest peak. Mastermind musicians in every aspect. I FUCKING LOVE IT !!
