I wouldn't say it's better than firestorm guards. Sure it only requires 3 instead of 4, but it also requires you to banish it from the grave. Firestorm does it on summon, which means you can keep reusing it much easier than the fish. Firestorm also draws 2 cards instead of just 1.

@@GeneralNickles And then you realise Guard is only on Normal Summon which means it's the only play you can have in A Pyro deck, cause they don't have any other plays that turn. (This hurts way more then you would think in todays game...) Also, it's much easier triggering effects in the grave then on the field these days...

@@payne9682 that's not firestorm's fault though. That's because there isn't enough good pyro decks that can make plays without there normal summon. If/when a good pyro deck comes along that can do that, firestorm becomes the better card. Because it's just inherently better than lifeless leaf fish to begin with. It just doesn't have the support that fish do. Kinda like how snake rain would be busted as all hell if a good reptile deck existed. It's a fantastic card whether it has a home or not. It would just be better if it did.

I don’t think u guys really mentioned why megalith phul is so good. U can summon Bethor, one of the level 8’s that pops cards your opponent controls up to the number of rituals in grave. And that’s on summon, so it can be used on your opponents turn, since phul is a quick effect.

As an avid fan of Megaliths, thanks so much for mentioning Phul! She does basically everything the archetype always needed and I absolutely agree that it pushes the deck to rogue status, potentially tier 2 even. For example, you can quick effect summon a Megalith Bethor to blow your opponent's board on their turn, or summon Megalith Aratron for negation. Such a good card. As for my claim of tier 2 status, my online build with Phul can compete with Dinos and wins regularly. Mostly bc of using ritual tech cards like the chaos max cards and impcantations.

My favorite application for the edge imp scythe combo is being able to have access to Artifact scythe on the opponents turn. If you can make artifact dagda with Edge Imp Scythe and a fluffal in hand you can stun your opponent for a turn and OTK on the next one. I’m really excited for this!

First thing that came to mind when I saw Chaos Ruler in this vid was Lightsworn. Way cool. But I will say out of all the cards in this vid, my favorites were Scythe and Cruel Whale. Feels kind of good to play during your opponent’s turn instead of simply standing by.

One problem with fluffals their not a long game kind of deck, so it they go against a deck that can last longer, they eventually lose their resources. With this support though, this can help them win games faster which is nice

Amusingly, the suggestion of using Draconian Prison to banish the dragon equipped with Dragunity Divine Lance wouldn't work because Divine Lance gives the equipped monster protection from trap cards for some reason.

I’d really want blizzard. Might put that in my Sacred Beast deck if I can’t really get negations turn 1, but it’s not too hard depending on the hand. Or Pendulums if I ever decide to revive that dream, but Electrumite is banned so there that goes, probably. I might try making a chaos deck ‘cause I’ve heard people saying it’s a really good strategy. Edit: Speaking of which, how would chaos pendulums go? ‘Cause I have a good bit of dark monsters and a few light monsters, I believe, in my pendulum deck, and I also have Starving Venemy from Duel Overload and was thinking of putting that in the deck.

I always tell people to go with what deck they’re wanting to try you never know when you may create the next best strategy that’ll be great. I personally love the chaos strategy and think it has a lot of potential.

W E.B Ya Boi I’ve tried out a couple different decks since I got back into YuGiOh at the tournaments at my local card shop, but then C-19 happened so I couldn’t go to those anymore. I tried pure E-Heroes, but that just straight up sucked, then Pendulums we’re more consistent, but I don’t think they were consistent enough. And I have a few different decks in the works, such as Mathmechs + Marincess, but that might change to Mathmech@Ignister, Cubic, Blue-Eyes, World Legacy, and now Sacred Beasts. And I’ve also updated my Pendulum deck from when I opened a few Magical Duelist packs. Now I’m just waiting for the tournaments to start back up so I can start testing out my decks.

Okay, why is the card in Rise of the Duelist that's getting people to talk about Coelacanth the Leaffish, and not the Deep Sea Field Spell? Leaffish is good, and dumping Coela and reviving it with Dugares is fine, but it's too fragile, and you'd have to play that combo in a suboptimal deck. It's weak to D.D, Crow, a hand trap you presumably didn't snipe with Deep Sea Minstrel cuz you're not playing Coelacanth in the "Water" deck that's right now competitive enough to be one of the best rogue decks. Meanwhile, the Deep Sea Field Spell top decks Coelacanth so you can force Saryuja to draw it, Saryuja being easy to make in Water. Pretty sure Saryuja has seen more success than Dugares. Since when did ppl start thinking Saryuja is completely useless, when it's still broken? It even shuffles back into the deck the garnets you need to play alongside Coelacanth.
