Just bought a Jacqueline Du Pre’ and a Desiree’ yesterday based upon your suggestions! Looking forward to it - love the video the enthusiasm to share your own experiences with certain roses is very appreciated! I would probably add another rose to the underrated list ‘Distant Thunder’ such a unique color, prolific, fragrant & compact so good in container gardens and quite healthy 👍

I must add "Desiree" to your underrated list. I think it's Heirloom rose's' own creation. She is GORGEOUS 🥰. Flowers are HUGE, never ending and long lasting. The healthiest plant ever ! Good for cut flowers also. Just Perfect 🤩.

The Candy Land rose reminds me of the Peppermint Rose dolls from the 1990s. It was a series of dolls sized similarly to the Stacy or Skipper dolls from the Barbie line, and each one came with a couple of perfumes based on the doll’s name that you could mix as you pleased. This was an excellent toy that DEFINITELY didn’t result in little kids completely dousing themselves in the perfumes 🤔 Thanks for bringing back a fond (and very specific 😆) memory! Loving the unique recommendations.

My Earth Angel is just about one year old and has about 3 new canes. Is the plant to young to start removing the older canes?

For a 1-year-old rose, it's generally not necessary to remove older canes. In fact, at this stage, your rose bush is still establishing itself, and it's important to allow it to grow and develop a strong structure. In the first year, only focus on removing and dead damaged foliage and canes.
