I knew he had a long history, but good lawd I was not prepared for some of the stories of the women who aggressively came after the servicemen. He had receipts. One, in particular, begged and offered to pay him and his friends to actually kidnap and team her as part of a rape fantasy. He was kinky, but said he ran for the hills from that one. Def made me wonder what had happened to these women for this to be their kink.

My first ever date. I was 20. We go to the mall because he wants to buy himself a belt. A little boring but he’s a good conversationalist and I’m a little shy. It was pretty nice. Then he takes me to a graveyard he works at, shows me the new hole he had just dug up and kept trying to get behind me while holding the belt. Needless to say I dipped to the nearest McDonald’s and called my mom. She is not just my mom but my best friend. She even bought me a happy meal to make me feel better. Took hours for the hair on my neck to settle and the adrenaline was torture after a while. He kept showing up to my place of work for a coffee and would watch me nearly all day. People would go talk to him so I could leave without him seeing and possibly following me. He got trespassed and I haven’t seen him since. Honestly hated how I could hear his footsteps behind me. My worst first date almost kidnapped me 🥴🥴🥴 She went on for days how she's gonna treat me right and pay for everything and we planned a simple bowling date to meet She showed up with her DAD Turns out she couldn't drive Then they said we have to stop at their place before going to take their puppy out I'm like ok hopefully this won't take long. I'm already in the car so I had to just go along with it We get to a LOPSIDED house . The cabinets literally wide open bc the slant made it impossible to close The house was filled with trash...and then...I see something massive on the couch She goes "Oh that's just Jerry! He lives on our couch" We go to her room and she pushes trash off the bed for a spot for me to sit She then point to the jar on her desk and tells me that's her ex girlfriend Then goes into detail how her ex died Her dad then comes in with a joint to smoke before we go. I'm thinking alright let's just smoke and head out We finish the joint when the dad asks his DAUGHTER to buy him a sleeve at the packy. Turns out he's banned from the liquor stores...didn't ask why So she says we can take her motor bike down the street to the ATM We go to the shed where her neighbors are sitting outside (also surrounded with trash) and looked at me like they saw a GHOST They go "Oh my god! We haven't seen you in forever how have you been?? Where have you been?" This is when I realized they likely think I'm her dead ex girlfriend 😅 We get on the bike..she didn't have helmets. But I could see the gas station from the house and it wasn't a full motorcycle so I was like ok I'd rather take the short drive with her then stay alone w these men We then all get back to the car and head to the packy They proceed to then take shots in the parking lot before driving to the bowling alley We FINALLY get to the bowling alley and she insists she pays They scrounge through their pockets and realize they only have enough for one game I offer to cover the rest to do the unlimited plays for an hour so we have more time They completely ignore me They then sneak more shots Shes literally stumbling on the alley, straight up dropped the bowling ball backwards like those fucking Mii animations I then managed to get a few good rolls and she got increasingly more angry because I said I wasn't very good so I must have been hustling her We start to head out when I realize they're talking about going CLUBBING overnight And doing xyz hard drugs. I had explicitly said to this woman before our date that I'm trying to get sober (minus weed) so now my heart sinks The dad keeps ranting about how we're all (including me) gonna get motorcycles and drive cross country as a motorcycle gang I say I have to get home soon because I have a curfew (complete lie. And my parents were on vacation) She then gets upset and called me a tease because she thought she'd have me all to herself tonight I kept playing nice to try and get my ass out of that car safely They insist I text them and ask and won't let up so I pretend to text my mom, wait a bit, then say she needs me home because we have plans early morning tomorrow The bring me home, while the DAUGHTER without a license is driving bc the dad was too drunk at this point She was a very bad driver. My ass was praying to any and every god that if I get home safe I'll never do hard drugs again and get my shit together I then shut down for like 3 days. Just trying to process all of that bc????? There was even more than what I typed here, it was wild. I finally open my texts to her saying Hello??? Hellooo??? Sorry I even tried.... AND SHE BLOCKED ME 😭🙏🙏🙏🙏😂 After that, I took a 6 month break from dating because I was HUMBLED for starting dating again so soon after my breakup with my previous ex Got sober. Didn't even drink for a full year! Reconnected with my ex before this nightmare date. We've been seeing each other for nearly a year now, and we have plans for our future. She even did end of live hospice care for my Mimi. And she is kind and sweet and does everything she can to be there for me in whatever ways she can. I couldn't be happier. So yeah... vet your dates more than a week before going out. Ask ask ask lots of questions. And ALWAYS tell someone where you're going and leave your location on! Anything can happen at any moment.

Oh lord, I have one. Was mid January in new england, so lots of snow on the ground. Went on a date in college, and the guy picked me up. Problem was, he could barely drive. He literally couldn't keep a steady throttle, so the car would surge up and down as he tried to accelerate. We also nearly got into a collision three separate times in just two miles, including one where he pulled into the oncoming lane to avoid snow that was well within the shoulder. Finally, when we got back, he couldnt navigate the (barely).snow-narrowed parking lot, so I had to drive the car to my door. Clearest memory I have of that date was as I could hear the car surging as he drove away... That wasn't the main reason I didn't go on another date with him (I didn't have much in common with him mostly), but that trip sure didn't leave a great impression!

He dared to take YOUR life in his hands. When men are incompetent to the extent that they endanger you, they are not mature enough to care about someone else, and therefore should not be dating. I used to hate going on dates with guys who wanted to talk to me and gawk at me while driving. I was always a nervous wreck. I finally just started asking them to keep their d@mn eyes on the road. Never let a reckless male endanger you. If they speed, race, or otherwise fool around in their cars, tell them outright that you won't tolerate them to endanger you. If they drive so poorly that it scares you, you need to walk or take a bus or have someone else take you there and pick you up. A guy like that does not have respect for other people's need for safety. You can't trust someone who is that irresponsible about driving, after all, what else will they be irresponsible about?!

Going on a date where you don’t have to pay and then wasting someone else’s money is really disrespectful. When someone intentionally orders expensive items just because they don’t have to pay, it shows a lack of respect for the person they’re with and a disregard for the effort and money the other person is putting in. A date should be about getting to know each other and sharing experiences, not an opportunity to take advantage or waste someone else’s finances. This can leave a bad impression and undermine the sincerity of the relationship.

Honestly I kind of feel for the dude who was asking tons of questions I've always been like a very curious person when it comes to other people and their stories, It's so interesting to see how other people think and live and learn and so on I have to actively like repress myself from asking too many questions When I make a new friend or something like that because I know how it can make people uncomfortable at times even though it's done with pure intentions The only issue I agree with in that post is that yeah it's kind of uncomfortable to call someone baby on like a first date.

I think it's because he kept asking questions and wouldn't let her answer. I don't have a problem with being asked questions as long as you let me answer instead of talking over me

Dude drive ins are still a thing if you look for them. There is 1 in my town and there is 1 in the town 30 mins from me. They are fun to go to sometimes. Js
