Could you please explain what neutral shot is it like clear, slice shot ?
@badmintonjournalАй бұрын
@@ato6723 any stroke which does not let opponent any get chance to attack or counter attack or even create dangerous angles. Most effective neutral shot from rear court is straight overhead half smash with touch of slice ..99% of bwf players use this Neutral stroke from front court is keeping the shuttle at middle of court to avoid exposing your corners to the opponent

@kd-qn9djАй бұрын
you are making every video of the knowledge😮 i have gained by playing & watching badminton over the decade .... keep it up bro👏 lin dan was successful executing it because of the clear shots that he would play from the back court from behind his head (that used to bail him out whenever he was in trouble) which were a direct product of the way he used to smash from behind his head meaning he had great control over the shuttle way past his body combining with cross drops lin dan started using this technique around 2010s ,but in his younger days he used to smash from the box also , he was carefree and full of energy , stamina like a robot he is the only player that used this footwork and never smash from the box unless it was very necessary , also chen long also followed this way to never smash from inside the box but otherwise his feets were in the box constantly

Footwork of Li Hyun Il is better than Lin Dan's... It is said by Lin Dan's coach..
@badmintonjournalАй бұрын
@@fegetables the reason why Lin dan hates Chinese coaches is because they are too much robotic, they don't like change WhereAs Lin Dan adds his own character style and unpredictability in his each point, Compare two player's titles and achievements.. you'll know who's better! So It's not about who has better footwork It's about who can use it to their advantage to get more titles Lin Dan retired earlier than LHI only because he couldn't participate in olympics otherwise he would've outgrown LHI in terms of longevity of playing in circuit

you simply can't do this if you are short. you have to run all the time.
@badmintonjournalАй бұрын
I am 5 ft 5 and I do it perfectly, Lin Dan is Hardly 5ft 6(and half) and he invented it, If you are tall then you should not use this footwork as you'll have bigger steps, what a bad logic
@RizkyMaulanaNugrahaАй бұрын
@@badmintonjournal Not a bad logic, just personal experience. LD were around 178cm, I could understand if this is feasible for him. I'm around 165cm/5ft 5, assuming my opponent has good control, I need extra 1.5 steps to copy this at the same rally pace. For short person, you can't copy this verbatim. You need to cover the same distance as LD walking pace, means my step frequency has to be higher rather than longer stride. Key focus of LD's footwork is not in the "walking" part, but the shorter stride length that reduces lunges but relying more on core stability when stepping to the shuttle -> more effective split step to change direction when needed.
@vitlinhАй бұрын
@@badmintonjournal he is correct, not only disadvantage in step length but also hitting point, you have to jump (a little bit) to get the same hitting point as LD if you're only 165cm. So not only run but also jump, those take more effort to reach the same pace.
@badmintonjournalАй бұрын
@@vitlinh I'm 166 and I do it fine. Those , not willing to do it will never do. Ofcourse we're not Lin Dan but my point here is to not go way beyond the backline

@@RizkyMaulanaNugraha I'll upload a video of myself doing it and drills to make it better.. and as I said in video . If you must go then go and hit a neutral stroke
