I'm surprised there are no examples from LD in this video when he's a god at changing pace.
@amolverma3326Күн бұрын
I think the godly thing about LD is his anticipation and that something related to someone's IQ, i think. Plus aside from LD, I think momota's example is better for this vid because his playstyle is like textbook 4 corner rally style taken to extreme.

Counter a control player? I want to be a control player. Like Lin Dan post-2010 and Kento Momota.

I got into a match where my opponent used punch clears very effectively, however i dont see pros use punch clears much, how so?
@doritosp1853Күн бұрын
I think they do. If you watch the pros when they intercept a back court shot without moving to the back court, it usually is a punch clear. You see these more in women singles, but men singles use them as well. I think maybe is the camera angle these pro matches usually used are harder to tell the angle of the shots and their speed
@letatkhoaКүн бұрын
They use punch clears a lot if you see the match from court side view
@saichourey9938Күн бұрын
they do but the opponent is also good so we think this was easy to pick but in reality it was a punch clear

u have to work on ur speed
@pythonstingerКүн бұрын
Their reaction time is really good and they’re trained to counter punch clears, the pros don’t really do it since it’s more punishing then rewarding

Bro how do I play the control style
@Thecomingman486913 сағат бұрын
Control style is basically you controlling the shuttle to make your opponent move around the court. Objective: Tire them out.

Are you going to make a video about men's doubles in the future?
@osukasuyi182511 сағат бұрын
general trend is junior players getting old and then they cant run as fast and keep up their attacks so they mature to playing slower and controlled games. Same with most regular non international players start out as singles players and then when they hit university they all suddenly switch to doubles.. the game is hard and ppl getting old. look at lin dan and LCW. LD used to be super dan. super fast and attacks aggressively.. then he got old and slowed down.

and how to change pace of a rally
@rando121Күн бұрын
If you want to change into fast pace: play flat clears and nets somewhere near to service line. If you want to change play slow: try giving higher lifts , playing lobs, play to corners. Try to find your strengths and weakness and change pace accordingly. For knowing your strengths and weakness, play both slow pace and fast pace with a player : see which one you felt and got more points to score. Repeat the same with many more players before concluding.
