Inovelli Red Series are the way to go when it comes to Smart Switches. Good price but really a good quality product. I have 9 of them now, just ordered 12 more. I have several travelers (3 way) and they work great. Plus the notification option with the LED is really useful. Just really sold on these.

I'm planning on using a 3 way smart switch with motion sensor. My question is do I need to use a add on switch at the second location or can I use a regular 3 way switch? It's new wiring so wiring isn't a problem. Just need to know what the best solution would be. Thanks

Question. Let's say I have a Zooz 26 attached to a 3 way circuit, and I disable local control in order to utilize scene control. Will the dumb 3 way or even 4 way switch still work? Can the dumb switch be made to trigger a scene?

Thank you for all the great info and your incredible website. I do have a question regarding wiring for the Leviton three way smart switch with the coordinating remote. Looking at your common three way switch wiring methods, I believe that I have method 3 in my current dumb setup. So the solution would be solution LV-3a. Now on your how to page, it states that solutions in yellow would also require rewiring the light box. Solution LV-3a is not in yellow so I assumed that this meant no rewiring of the light box. However when I actually look at the solution diagram, it appears that the light box is actually rewired. So my question is, is your diagram correct and I actually have to rewire the light box as well? Thank you in advance.

This video is very helpful. But I do have 2 questions. I have wiring method 9A and I only have the inovelli LZW31-SN, will this work or does it have to be the NZW30? Also what is the best way to make the switch for a fan motor smart, the lights for the fan are on a separate switch? Thanks for the great channel.

I have 2 toggle switches...can I add a occupancy motion sensor..will that work? I just want to walk up and let it turn on and 30 mins later turn off simple..I can tape a toggle switch...let me know..t.y.

This is really great. I know I've watched all your reviews on the 3-way switches along the way and I know they keep evolving. If you had no smart switches at all and had Method 1 wiring diagram, which line of switches would you choose; both for their 3-way and single switch capabilities? And, would you consider mixing them throughout the house?
