As I was listening to this lecture, I was thinking "Wow these ideas fit right in with James Clear's habit change framework." so I was really happy to hear you bring up his book! Definitely one of the most helpful books I've read. I've heard Andrew Huberman talk about the dopamine nation book as well, so I will definitely need to get a copy. Quick question relating to the chart at 26:05 . Do you know of any studies that look into human brain levels of dopamine with stimulants like amphetamines and/or methylphenidate? Or any studies that looked into dopamine levels in individuals with adhd treated with stimulants? I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that even if the hypothesis that adhd is someone who just has too low dopamine has some validity, it still might be counter productive to treat adhd symptoms with a dopamine raising substance in the long-term because of the brain's tendency to counter balance any raised dopamine levels with lower baseline levels. Thank you for putting these lectures up on youtube!

My family has been fasting for a year now and we are on a low carb, high fat diet. My son has diabetes type 2 and is not fat. Fasting has become his religion. However, even on the OMAD he tends to be hyperglycemic. Should he be on a low carb, low fat, high protein diet?
