I’d say mostly Ed the pipe taught you how pipes are to be smoked. Well done

@@SmokingCardboard It has me rethinking all my pipes now. I'm starting to understand why some people designate pipes to certain blends, and I believe going forward I'll be doing the same.

This is a brilliant analysis. I have a similar pipe with a similar issue. Taking these tips to heart. Thanks!

Awesome video, my brother of the Briar! I have many large bowl pipes like ed, and found same exact problem you had, hard to light, hard to keep lit and burning hot so fast. Needles to say, as nice looking as are and feel, I never smoke them because of the reasons noted. I tried your method and like magic, I love the nice long smokes I get from them! Very smart thinking! Keep up the great videos my friend!

@@Hillbilly001111 Dude that's badass that somebody else has the same results! Now I don't feel like I'm crazy, lol. This discovery makes me want more pot-shaped pipes...but BIGGER ones. I'm glad the video helped, and thank you for the feedback on the "Eddie smoking method." Please let me know if you discover any more insights to add!

So, I think your new title is "Pipe Whisperer!" Time for a reality show where you visit people to help figure out their Pipe personalities! Awesome job figuring that out! Wow! Nice to see you presenting more. Have a super week!

@@carolinarose704 Lol @ tv show! Yes, and the only thing I would charge for my services is a couple tins of Capstan Blue! You're onto something here. Hope your week is a good one, too.

Very interesting. Takes some time to find tobacco that works with a pipe.

Ed teaches thermodynamics lol FACTS. That’s dope you were able to figure it out. I noticed I do pack differently depending on what pipe I pick up but I never understand what I was doing just trail and error on my part. Great video! very informative 🤙

@@TheLeagueOfTheKeeprsOfTheBriar Dude this simple epiphany has unlocked a "hole" new understanding of all my pipes. I'm starting to veer towards choosing pipes based first on predicted mechanics of airflow. Lots of fun.
@GenXPiper3 ай бұрын
I think there’s truth in what you’re saying. I have pipe chambers that are conical, u shaped, wide, narrow, shallow, deep, average, some combination of and in between. And certain tobacco’s work and taste better in different chambers. They pack differently as well! Granted there is newbie operator error at play at times. But I have a GBD international that has a really wide and really deep chamber that I could easily get a two hour smoke session out of that I would never put a goopster into it. And if I ever filled it with a high nicotine tobacco you would probably find me passed out flat on the floor with the pipe sticking out my mouth with ash and tobacco all over face before the first hr was over!😁 Absolutely fantastic clean up that pipe ༄💨 Well done! 👍

@@GenXPiper It's crazy how many variables go into smoking a bowl of tobacco. Lately the mechanics of the pipes have been standing out a lot for me. I feel like I'm hitting a new level of experience with the "hobby." How'd you come across the GBD? I'd like to see it sometime!
@GenXPiper3 ай бұрын
@@TheNovicePiper I agree! The GBD I happened to come across is from Blue Room Briars and probably my top three if not my most favorite to smoke. I heard someone mention them not long ago, can’t remember who and when I went to take a look and perusing around it popped up and it was like that calling and bam…yes! I haven’t smoke it on camera yet. Been sampling and trying a bunch of different tobacco’s lately, so my cob has been getting quite the work out lately.

That is awesome that you were able to break it down that well, even my kids would have understood it the way you explained it. I will have to try that with my lumberjack pipe when I'm brave enough! (Its got a 1.25" wide and 4" deep bowl)
