Yes, I think that interaction between Deputy Supervisor Washington and Clerk Wells - and even the earlier interaction where Attorney Kusper had to correct her - show that Washington was not able to keep track of what was going on. Her confusion in those moments makes me think she had already been struggling with some form of dementia, and the stress of the situation made it worse. She was given the role of Deputy Supervisor because she was the longest-serving trustee. I'm not sure if that was a legal requirement or simply a sign of respect, but she got the position despite her inability to handle it in her condition.

12:06 You hit the nail on the head with that statement. I used to attend the Thornton Township meetings back in 2006 through 2017. The board was a rubber stamp. Frank made all the decisions, and the board was just a figurehead for the public to see. The same was true for the South Suburban College Board, where Frank served as Chairman. It was done that way because Frank didn't want any opposition to his political agenda. As we all see, this can have long-term consequences because when you have a dysfunctional board that's not used to making key decisions, it's really easy for someone who shouldn't be in a position of power to swoop right in like we see today.

The TH we see in this video with all of her wide-eyed enthusiasm & humble commitment so professionally promised•Is a HUGE departure from the TH we have witnessed break most all of the Rules & Standards while Name-Calling and blatantly LYING in most EVERY MEETING AND VIDEO TO DATE! She had such an amazing & ready-made Role to step into had she been satisfied with what the Position required of her. I think the first taste of POWER she had-she was INSTANTLY ADDICTED to it! We know how addictions typically end up….. Either the person has a Rock Bottom Moment & begins to get back on track while being honest and following Rules OR they sadly just fade away………

What this town really needs, because of its unique intelligence quotient, is an out-of-town, sub contractor board of trustees and supervisor. It seems this township doesn’t have sufficient numbers within its population with the education, intelligence, or wherewithal capable of even electing a supervisor, let alone running the township. It was so obvious that, when Ms. Washington nominated a person, then immediately voted him down, these trustees are sorely unprepared to participate in even local politics. They don’t know the first thing about government!
@lansingjournal14 күн бұрын
I don't want to judge Ms. Washington too harshly. Having watched her at those last two meetings, I got the impression that she was struggling with Alzheimer's. (This is my personal opinion, not a medical diagnosis.) She may have been showing early signs for months previous, but she was able to maintain control and make it through routine days. But the stress of everything that happened after Zuccarelli's death became too much for her to navigate.
@Transition33314 күн бұрын
I apologize. I certainly understand, and there are many, very capable people in this group, especially the current trustees. Even Chris Gonzalez is intelligent, but why he would nominate Tiffany is beyond me. I’m involved in a special government project, and very soon, you will see a drastic change not seen since 1871 when our country was hijacked, and made into a corporation controlled by billionaires. We are not a Democracy, we are a republic, and those powers will be returned to the people when Trump is inaugurated. He has been Commander in Chief all this time unbeknownst to most of the public. Biden expired years ago, and a dirty trick has been foisted on the citizens, but Trump will end it. This is how we know Tiffany’s days are numbered. The Democrat’s cabal is being taken down behind the scenes, with Fani Willis, Judge McAfee (no one has seen him for months), and people like P. Diddy. You will see this all become very public, and the people will be so shocked at the disclosure of what has been going on for decades, the truth will cause people to be unable to cope. Get ready because January 20th is almost here. Your work at Lansing Journal is stellar. It’s the only publication that makes sense, and is understandable. You look very stressed yourself, but still very pretty, and extremely intelligent. Thank you so much!

This was amazing content. Trustee Gonzalez needs to explain why he put a muzzle on the public voting of the Supervisor, as well as the remaining Trustees. This appears to be a Sham and All current Trustees should be voted out , if running, and this compliance should be contested in court as to the process of the Henyard appointment.

we're starting to see a lot of compilation videos of henyard's ethics violations and crimes.

Outstanding journalism! I've been keeping up with the issues of Dolton regarding the mayor / supervisor Tiffany Henyard.. Going back to when she was a trustee and through my observation It was very clear early on that nominating her was going to be problematic for the citizens of Dolton, etc! Mayor/supervisor displayed who she was from the beginning! Considering everything that's happened while she was a trustee and her lack of respect and continuous negativity, I'm left wondering why Gonzalez would nominate her!?! Thou i do believe his nomination for her was with good intent for the citizens of Dolton. Moving forward, his decision on important matters should be re-evaluated,and I say this with all do respect,that was an extremely poor decision.. Just sharing my views, From Milwaukee ,Wisconsin Well Wishes and Blessings to the citizens of Dolton..❤🙏🏽 24:17
