Straight to the point and very clear. I was having temperature issues while running Horizon Forbidden West (temperatures of 75 C with some peaks of 85) in a ryzen 7 5700x. I did the same as you (cores at 40.00 and 1.025) and vuala now it stays at 60 celsius and it still runs smoothly at 90-110 FPS at 1440p, all set in high. Amazing video dude

Hello, i have B550M-HDV/AR and can't find "cpu core ratio" and "vddcr cpu voltage override"... How to undervolt mine?
@shaeccha60723 ай бұрын
I think u will find “34” in cpu options. Below that u will see allcore or CCX. For undervolte, CPU Vcore.

Can you please tell me where will be these 2 option on a b550 aorus elite motherboard as it has different names for the settings. I see a cpu clock ratio instead of core and theres no vddcr option😢
@sicoolace33315 ай бұрын
It's called vcore voltage and if u type 1.025 it will automatically set to 1.028

ok what the actual F... For Warframe I went from 80°C (in game with programs running etc.) to BELOW 55°C !!! On COD or The First Descendant my CPU was at 90°C+ and I never understood why. I think you just saved my computer lmao

@@JALAL919 with a B450M motherboard I couldn't change the cpu core ratio, so I just changed the voltage and cpu clock. First tried with 1.025V (with CPU clock at 3600MHz) but it felt a bit weak especially for content that runs mostly on CPU. Moved to 1.05V with 4200MHz CPU clock speed, runs perfectly at 100fps in 3440x1440p on Warframe, PoE, CoD, and even CPU-heavy-games like Summoners War or any mobile/bluestack games

I tried the first option with 44.00 and 1.2V, in cinebench 2024 i was getting lower score in CPU (multi core) test. With this setting the CPU is locked at 4.4 MHz. I dont know how that could be better. Even the temperature rised with 5C° for me...
@ImWateringPSUs10 ай бұрын
Try the other option :)

Tried this but my B550 ASUS bios went into 'Diagnosing my PC' mode. Took 3 re-boots but seems to have stabilized so far at 54C for the CPU, 60C for the CPU package

Why 4.4 GHz @ 1.2 v? Ryzen 7 5700x can easily go up to 4650 mhz. Why then 4.4 GHz instead of 4.6 GHz?

Hi sir. first of all i'm thankful i found yout your channel. i've used 4.4ghz @1.2V on my new 5700x with a b550m mortar msi mobo. may i know if i still need to use CO in PBO undervolt?

Is it just for a temperature decrese? Or you can accualy gain fps doing it? Trying to understand the logic behind this. My logic says - more voltage = more power/fps. But i know there are a heat limits. Can anyone simply explain? Thanks in advance
@ImWateringPSUs Жыл бұрын
You do gain a bit of FPS because you don't incur in thermal/power limits
@pineapplej7310 Жыл бұрын
Basically, by default, pretty much all motherboards send a voltage to your CPU that is just a general guess for the model of CPU you have. Usually they're cranked way too high, because it guarantees stability at high clock speeds, making the manufacturer of the motherboard get good scores on benchmarks. However, the efficiency is decreased at unnecessarily high voltages, since extra heat is produced. Every single CPU is different and cannot be produced identically, therefore, every chip will respond to voltage slightly differently. Dialing the unnecessary voltage back can lower your temps, which will allow your chip to stay clocked higher during load.
