Sam Darnold was 21 when he got drafted by the Jets. Dumpster fire franchise. Then he went to another dumpster fire franchise. Darnold is an elite QB within KOC's scheme. He is so much better than the media gives him credit for. The Vikings are going to be a feared team in the playoffs.

I wouldn't give him that elite label yet. There are times he loses his confidence out there but it's getting better as the year goes on. He makes some great elite throws but also some bonehead throws that his receivers save him on. He had a severely under thrown ball that I think it was Addison who came back for it and got a TD on. That should be an int. He almost overthrew a wide open Hock on an important fourth down conversion last game. He's better than his past has shown and will grow with time but you can't be blind to the times his receivers bail him out.

How can you guys discuss Sam Darnold’s good play without mentioning he has the best receiver (Jefferson) and one of the best promising receivers in Addison. He did not have these caliber of receivers with the Jets and other teams. He also has a solid running back in Aaron Jones. Coaching is also top notch for Darnold. All these factors mean Darnold is able to keep playing excellent QB ….without going back “to who you’ve seen him be” on the past weak teams.

Winning out is certainly preferable, to maintain our current seed, but unless we win out, the Lions lose this week, and then the Lions and Viking tie in week 18, very little will change for the Packers. The Vikings can win out and take the #1 seed, get the bye and have home field throughout the playoffs. #1 is certainly more important overall. For the Packers winning out or losing out, still means all road games against the top NFC teams. Unless you really think the Lions aren't going to crush the 49ers this week, and in week 18 tie against the Vikings. I think we can beat the Vikings on Sunday. But if we can't we still will have another shot in the playoffs. And the chances of teams beating any team 3 times in a season are super low. So I like our chances against both the Vikings and Lions in playoffs. And hopefully the Eagles lose, so we can all enjoy Shady's tears later this year.

You're right but there's just no way it will change.
