I have traveled all around the world, I've never seen or experienced better services provided by the council to their locals than in Turkey - This goes all the way to parks, gyms, transportation, even restaurants - Truly some of the best restaurants in Turkey are run by local councils (Hygiene standards, Prices & Service), unfortunately contrary to the UK :(

Totally agree, even the little Council street cafes are brilliant and so cheap.

That campsite was five quid a night?! 🤯 Turkey is so affordable! Outdone only by their heartwarming hospitality, of course. ❤🇹🇷 Great news on the visas! Very encouraging, indeed. As excited as you must be to continue, I must admit to feeling a lump in my throat forming at the thought of Turkey in the rear view mirror. 😥 That happy dance & a "you're still here" had Mrs. P. and I laughing out loud! ❤❤😎👍xx

Thanks Mary - we are so happy to have stayed in Turkey so long - we originally planned 3 weeks as we are driving around the world as a challenge rather than lots of travel vlogs - but we have enjoyed and been so grateful to have arrived in such an awesome country. We do hope to be able to continue the challenge and will truly miss Turkey when we finally leave - but completing the challenge has been such a focus for us as we were only planning 20 months away from family ... So pleased for you both getting such an exciting visa, but as has already been said it seems strange to think you anywhere else. I have only discovered you since lockdown in Turkey and you have been my unwitting companions during my 3rd house sale (yes the same house) and move from Devon to Essex before heading off to Europe in August. We aspire to your sense of adventure and hope we are at least half as happy on our trip around Europe before heading back to Australia.

The news regarding the Russian visa was bitter sweet. I had to postpone my planned trip to Turkey and was enjoying Turkey through your eyes. I was really hoping that you'd make it to the eastern provinces and cities like Gaziantep, Mardin, Van, Erzurum, Kars and others. Sadly you never made it to the gastronomic capital of Turkey and the gorgeous beauty of East and North east Turkey. However, I shall still watch if only to see how much you are going to miss Turkey. Although I am sorry that you will leave Turkey 😭 but I am very happy that you will continue the adventure 🥳 I hope everything works out the way you want it to 🙏🏻 Not everyone likes burnt ice cream, your reaction is very normal, I like it very much. If you like it, you can use ready-made Boiled Beans, very easy to make Piyaz. Tahini is not necessary, a little lemon, a little vinegar is enough, you can find a lot of recipes on the Internet, it is an appetizer-salad that is both easy and satisfying 😊

I really enjoyed this episode the campsite was very good . I wanted to jump off the jetty. Was it as good as Goreme Camping? That took some beating! The home cooking looked amazing! When I visited Marmaris in 96 there wasn't a caravan /motorhome scene as such there were some foreign camper vans but I asked and was told the hotels ruled the roost at the time. Congrats on the Russian visa!
@TREADtheglobe3 жыл бұрын
Both! But for completely different reasons - we have made friends everywhere ... If you have more time to be in the Manavgat, I definitely recommend you to go to the Manavgat Waterfall. Manavgat Waterfall is a perfect natural wonder.And also Beşkonak ve Tazı Canyon are also included in what I said.You can search Google by typing Tazı Canyon and Beşkonak in Manavgat. You can search more on Google about the historical and geographical beauties of Manavgat.And I also have to say this.Something that most tourists know wrong.Side is not a province or a district.Side is a neighborhood in the district of Manavgat.And there is a truth.Side is a Brand City.If you have the chance to go there one day,You should definitely visit the Temple of Apollo. I present my thanks.

Going to Russia? - I've traveled there 10 or 11 times now over the past 20 years. I'm looking forward to your videos. The most amazing places in Russia can often be found in small towns. Some amazing historical sights can be found in what they call the "Golden Ring" (Золотое кольцо) towns to the north and east of Moscow. Yaroslavl, Murom, Dineeva, Rostov Veliky, and many others are wonderful sights to see outside the huge cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. -- Your visa should be good for 30 days. I think they extended it 90 days recently, for some types of visas. MAKE CERTAIN you get the correct visa and correct length of stay. You won't see much if its only 30 days. - Winter starts setting-in about mid-September on the Moscow latitude. So, your timing looks good from now...
