I do love unhauls! I applaud anyone who can get rid of books on a regular basis - especially after buying but realizing that you won't actually read them. ... I need to go finish weeding my own shelves now.

Yassss girl, spring cleaning like crazy! So many of those BookTube classic! I do still own The Wrath and the Dawn and the Rose and the Dagger, because I do really hope to pick them up again in the future to see if I enjoy them as much as the first time I read them!

Your unhauls was what inspired me to get rid of a bunch of book that were not going to be read ( about 40to 50) and make room for new ones. It also encouraged me to be critical of the books I keep. The ones I love the most.

Oh, the pain, the pain!! UnHauling is a sad fact of life for book lovers/collectors. I've been doing the same on my shelves and it's so hard. Fortunately I have a terrible memory so once something is gone from my shelves I tend to forget I ever had it. Funnily enough I just finished reading The Wrath and The Dawn and it's sequel. They've been on my shelf for years and I decided I should make an effort to read them. And I really, really enjoyed them. I'll hang on to them I think. Enjoyed the discussion and unhaul Chelsea.

I love how honest you are about why you are getting rid of these books. That’s so wonderful! I’m glad you are only keeping what you love. Very refreshing to see on BookTube!!! Also, I am going to be moving in the next couple months and I have sooo many books I got when I first found BookTube. Most I’ve never even looked at again. You’ve inspired me to donate!

What an enormous book unhaul! I desperately need to do the same. On another note, you might enjoy following up Jane Eyre with Catherine Lowell's The Madwoman Upstairs, My Plain Jane by Hand, Ashton & Meadows, Alexa Donne's Brightly Burning, and Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye. The Jane Eyre related reading was really fun for me, and I have yet another stack of Jane Eyre related books still to be read... someday.

Oof mosquitoland hurt my soul a little bit. LOVED that book. But I do totally agree that his recent books haven't been as good. I did like Noah Hypnotik (his most recent) more than Kids of Appetite, though. All that being said, I'm planning on rereading Mosquitoland this summer to see if it still holds up and I'm NERVOUS.

@@kristiturningthepage320 aw, well since you already own it, maybe give it a try and see if you end up liking it? I have seen some people who loved it! I'd say you'll probably know pretty quick as well, as it starts right in on the action.

@@lisa.hennessey19 I tried so hard because I love 'band of misfits come together to do a thing' stories, but dnf'd at page 120. I also think the angsty love between the main guy and girl was a detriment, because reading constantly about their pining without even knowing the characters yet made it feel hollow. I couldn't care about how sad it was they loved each other but couldn't be together because no development was shown!
