Hey Noah Great explorer. I just saw the video Brandon put out on this home and the video you did was a year ago I'm not sure when he did his I didn't see a date but it's much worse than when you were in there mold is way worse other vandals have been in there and and copper thieves and things like that so it's pretty beat up now but yeah very smart of you to wear a mask in there cuz that black mold is some deadly stuff. Looking forward to all your new explorers coming.

Glad the coffees help you out Noah! This house is so odd! Its almost like they built a box around a house, and its pool in the back lol Also, weird they didn’t drain that pool before they boarded it up. Its like they wanted to ruin it on purpose. Smh what a waste of a pretty fun party house!
@NoahNowhere4 жыл бұрын
They sure do! This is one of the weirder houses I've explored for sure! I'm not sure why they didn't drain the pool. The ceiling does have holes so even still it would eventually fill with water.

Noah.Nowhere if they just leave the drain to open, even if it rained it would keep empty. Who knows, abandoned houses have many stories, and reasons for sitting.

The first minute showing the exterior & the landscape it my favorite part of the video! Think the flat roof with all that standing water would create problems. The low entrance seems really odd. Not sure what style they were striving for overall, but its definitely not for me.

Carlo Paolozza did an adventure on this very house. Someone who knows the family did comment on his video saying that a pipe burst causing all the mold throughout the house. How true it is, I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the pool itself contributed to the mold as well.

One time, back in early 90's, we were "down the shore" (if you know what it means, you know) and we met these girls on the beach. They said they were having a party that night and told us to stop by and they gave us the address. The house wasn't on the beach but in a development right by the bay. They houses were not mansions but they looked like average middle class homes. A lot of them were summer homes since it was at the shore. We get to the address and it's a moderate sized rancher 1-story house. nothing on the outside to indicate anything unusual. THere was a nice party going on so my friends and I went inside and once we were inside most of the people were towards the back of the house. We head that way and I heard splashing and sure enough, in the middle of this house was a pool. It wasn't a screened in type of pool, but it was actually inside the house like next to the living room. The whole room was nautical themed and looked like a movie set. We didn't bring our bathing suits, but it was summer and we had shorts. at some point, after many beers, we all ended up in the pool. It was a crazy night.

That was one bizarre house. First off, the stairs (ok, not a fan hihi) but the first room with all the stuffies, uhm, did anyone else notice the chain lock? Didn't really see a living room and next to the kitchen must have been the dining room/eating area. Another factor for the mold also would have been that everything was boarded up. Even new, apart from the pool, just not seeing it. :) Thanks Noah

I run a home cleaning service and we went to clean a home once in Laguna Beach. Was surprised when the owner mentioned to us if we could clean the floors surrounding the pool. I saw cement outside so mentioned we didn’t clean outdoors. He then led us to a room off the master, it had his secret addition of an indoor pool complete with tiki bar and jacuzzi. That was probably a once in a lifetime thing for us to clean. Didn’t see mold but I know it will eventually grow and destroy that beachside home:(

I don’t believe that this was a private home. The design and layout of this building suggests and points to that of a facility of some kind like a private rehab center or program was held here for people of different ages. Probably a non profit organization that lost its funding at some point.

I agree with you Noah, houses like this one are much more interesting. They always tell a story. When you walked through the room with the inspirational quotes and focus on dieting I imagined a middle aged woman who was married but wound up living alone. She had married a local contractor and he built her her dream home but the marriage didn’t last and she wound up living by herself while she and her former husband continued to fight over the marital assets. Eventually she packed up her things and left. The home now sits vacant as a sad testament to their lost love. It makes it easier to imagine scenarios like this when things are left behind rather than the empty starkness of the new mansions that leave nothing to the imagination. Anyway, always a blast when you post a new video. One question, you always talk about folks buying you coffee but I don’t see anyway to do it. I watch your stuff on KZbin. Maybe I’m just missing something?

When I see so many empty houses and know there are so many homeless , I wish we could help communities take some of these houses and have people live in them for a reduced rate with the expectation of property improvement while they live there. I think a lot of families would love an opportunity to do this. I know there are places in Italy where they do this but the property needs a lot.

This is an interesting house and I think it would have been comfortable and fun to live here--except for the pool room situation, which was just ugly! Why surround a pool with cheap concrete and blah wood paneling, without enough windows for sunlight to enter? Also, the way the ceiling was set low over part of the pool was weird. Thanks for braving the horrors of all that mold to share this place with us.
