Are they all at that same fixed velocity and all exactly on grid? I like broken jazzy chords where you sort of roll onto the keys. Also, that Cloud shimmer thing, is that one of Logic in built instruments/ presets or is that an additional plug in? Those glittery jungle type pads were lush.

Hey! You mentioned that these Midis have no sound. How would you know what sounds to add if say for example the middle is labeled “C major” or any one.

i'd say start with a piano or keyboard sound and go from there

This is cool with the midi effects. Now the oldschool kid in me wonders if you could take a chord sound with the effects on it that you displayed and wonders if you could sample that into the MPC and use your pad note progressions with it. I know if you can use it with a keyboard why bother but before I had a MIDI controller that would be what I would be doing.👍

Off topic question.. I just excitedly ordered drum kits on floppy instead of zip disk for my mpc 2000xl.. I made a big mistake..sadly 🥴 My question whats the best way to get these going... Should I just purchase a flash drive / and transfer floppy to flash drive.. Or is there a way to transfer floppy to zip disks... im bummed out.. My new pad sensor sheet just arrived..excited to get this machine running..

I grabbed the 5 free gifts. I pulled the chord and scale elements out to a special folder with other midi folders to use as uiltility tools though I grasp theory fully. Seems to help a younger producer I work with as a learning aid I'd greatly suggest people trying to learn spend time breaking down progressions and observing how and why they do what they do. Leading tones, resolutions etc

all you need is a computer and a music software program honestly. I personally use Logic Pro and sometimes Garage Band which is FREE plus most come with sounds anyway. You can also use your computer typing keyboard as your controller

Yes you need a music software program to place the midi files. Something like FL Studio, Ableton, ect. Free alternatives include Garageband, Reaper, Ableton Lite

when you picked a different key for track 4 , does that mean if you played all four tracks it would sound right ?? I thought track 2and 3 wouldn't play well together ( non musician here , I have unison and logic ) just been sitting here most of the time as I can't understand or see videos on how to use

all tracks should be changed to the same key if you want it to sound cohesive

So does this mean at the top of logic or I should always pick tracks that are the same key , or do I change logic at the top as well as tempo ( as most of the loops and tracks ha ve a tempo and a chord or progression etc ) ps if there was videos that explained all this , then a newcomer who doesn't know music theory could use this ( I might be able to play piano but doesn't mean I know theory

Wow my brother, thank you. You made that so simple. These other stuck up guys who are actually in the commercial for Unison when I asked why they are not working responded, "Oh I guess you don't know how midi files work?" What a asshole. I unsubscribed. Left him a cute finger 🤘 if you know what I mean and unsubsidized. I subscribed to you. You see, I'm very smart and fix hundreds of things but have dyslexia and if something is not explained showing me why I never get the how. I need to know why it is to understand how it works. You did that in 5 seconds. I will ask Unison to pay you to be in the commercials. You deserve it way more. One question, can you do this in MPC one as a stand alone or do you need the DAW?

i believe u need the DAW but if the MPC one can read midi files and has its own sounds, that should work as well unless im mistaken

@@Verysickbeats Yes, I get what you mean and yes there is a DAW that comes with the software and it has its ouwn sounds so more than likely I need to open Unison in the beats software and use the sounds and once they are in the beats for mpc then I could move them into the MPC ONE, I will try tomorrow and if it works I will perposely go and respond saying, "Hey all you guys that follow him, I found a better person and post your link, see how he likes that one. These people need to remember that just like a business the consumer like me can make you and break you. Thanks so much

The problem that I'm having with this chord pack is every time I drag and drop a chord into my session, it turns on the setting for multiple tempos and tries to revert it back to 120. While I'm building these progressions I have to constantly delete those tempo changes. Does anybody know how to fix this?

That is probably a setting with your DAW (recording software). Check out your options and goof around with it a bit. Logic, protocols, and studio One have features that automatically adapt midi / samples to the project BPM. Just look around your settings.

My problem is whenever I try to drag in a second chord, it replaces the 1st one I dragged in.... it's useless like this. The whole point is to make progressions efficiently, and now I'm drawing in the chords anyway. I'm on fl by the way. If someone knows a fix that would be awesome
