I had been working to design a robot joint that could be built for about $80 per joint (12 * 80 ~= $1000). The BLDC motor, the driver electronics, and gears are really hard to do at that price point. But it looks like they did it. If these sell for $1,600 that is better than I could do if I built one myself. So what is left? I'll also need an "additional organ" installed on the robot as well as a pump that will give it the ability to "urinate" on things with malt liquor from a 40oz bottle "bladder". Gonna need it to have a variety of voices too, but they'll mostly be those of big cats. Lastly, the beast will need a small vaporizer installed at it's posterior with a reservoir of ammonium sulfide which can be triggered at will.
