Hey Mr. Cow - I’m actually one of the unfunny creators of this show. We were hoping that people would see that underneath the “dude antics” exterior is a more thoughtful show with surprising storytelling and a unique voice, but clearly that’s not how you see it. We don’t control the marketing or anything like that, but we did work our asses off to make something that felt different than the current adult animations out there and it’s a bummer to see the show flattened into “dumb dude stuff”. Totally your right to hate it. It’s part of the deal of making a network show, but I hope some of your fans will still give our show a chance. It’s not perfect but we’re proud of what we’ve made. I saw the ads for it. 1) The animation looks like something that would be on a streaming service you never knew existed, like PlutoTV. All the other Animation Domination shows, even the newer ones like Grimsburg and Krapopolis, have pretty good designs and animation. This looks like something made by one guy on a computer 15 years ago. 2) I was really turned off from the show by the handicapped toilet = bathroom just for poop joke because...how long has that symbol been around? It would be like seeing a "No Smoking" sign and thinking it means "Now Smoking." There's dumb and there's "have you had that joke in tthe drawer since 1982?"

I’m not a hundred percent sure what companies’ motivations are for these early orders that we’ve seen over the last few years. But if there are financial incentives (like not paying people that make successful things enough money) then I’d bet that’s the reason. Whether I like a show or not I still want artists getting their bag, and if early orders for extra seasons is costing artists money then I am definitely against it. Like I said though I’m not 100% sure, it’s possible they just like a show and think it will connect with audiences.

It’s probably just lacking something unique, instead choosing to take a common theme that is generic for the first few episodes. Breaking Bad was lacking in views and gathering little attention in the first to third seasons, almost facing cancellation but it persevered and did well. Personally, I wouldn’t shoot it down until it’s officially over because sometimes the beginning is rough but it can move out of the rough patch and possibly evolve into something better.

It seems that every new Fox animated show gets picked up for a second season right before it premieres. In fact, Krapopolis got picked up for season 3 before it premiered. Fox has too many animated shows (seven) and not enough time. Krapopolis and Grimsburg caused Family Guy to move to Wednesdays. I suggest ending some or either pick an eighth show and splitting them into two different nights.

This show is so horrendously bad it makes me think that it was made to demonize Universal Basic income as a concept. Sort of like "hey, look at the stupid douchebags who live on UBI, you don't want to be like that right? Better keep working your wage slave job so you can be worthwhile to society." On top of that the show is just bad on every technical level, bad writing, cheap looking animation, crappy character design...it's just awful. I haven't seen a show this bad air on fox since Bordertown. I would have rather they kept Bless the Harts, at least the character designs on that show were more appealing and I actually LIKED the characters.

I did watch the first three episodes today. It's better than Allen Gregory for sure but it's still not good. Mark (the fat brother) comes off as incredibly unlikeable and it's hard to root for him cause he's not even funny. His friend (apparently named like Murph) sucks and I did some research and he is not a main character which is nice. The younger skinny brother is actually kinda likeable even if he is stupid. It's been done before but it's not all that bad. The neighbors have a marriage issue but it doesn't seem drawn out like Jerry and Beth which what I was going into it thinking. I still haven't laughed once and the show is not very interesting. But the creators actually worked on a lot of niche projects so it's cool that they are moving to primetime. And I like that the voice actors aren't that famous (apart from Fred Armisen). It's refreshing to see coming up actors voicing these characters. Plus the first made episode hasn't even been scheduled to air yet, which would probably give us more background on the universal basic income thing, which imo isn't even universal basic income because a company is offering it solely to its laid off employees. It's more like an indefinite severance. The biggest issue this show has is the pacing. All three episodes have abrupt endings and there's virtually no closure to a lot of the plots. The jersey devil one especially because the show wastes a lot of time on things that don't really matter to serve the story. If they dropped those the pacing and the writing would already be leagues better, and that's without any changes to making it funny. Overall, I was expecting a lot worse. This is just a barely below average show that doesn't stand out in any way. Seeing Mr Birchum tbh, that looks much worse than this. I'd prefer this over what Big Mouth has become tbh so I guess that's something positive about it. So far like a 3.5/10. Not super terrible but definitely not good. We'll see if I like it more than Housebroken which I dropped because that show was just so boring and nothing actually happens. Fox cancelled it anyway so I don't really have an interest to watch the rest. Bless the Harts was a much better show than this UBG show. Season 1 was okay but it did have the black friday episode which was by far the show's best. Season 2 was an improvement and I liked how it started to find its own identity. Duncanville was decent despite the flaws. Seasons 2-3 were better than the first but still flawed. Krapopolis isn't so bad. It's creative but needs more funny. Grimsburg has some good ideas but isn't very funny either. All those shows are better than this one unfortunately. I still can respect Craig and Adam for making their first show. I think if season 2 has a lot of the criticisms addressed, this show could actually be pretty decent to watch. I think a lot of it is the executive meddling. Craig and Adam can only have so much freedom before Fox forces them to make it simple and dumbed down.

The thing about all these crappy adult animated shows trying to copy King of the Hill like this and Mr Birchum is none of them "get" King of the Hill. The bit about it's just a couple of guys hanging out in the alley drinking beer was the "first impression," it's what people who barely watch the show know it for and it becomes a bit within the show itself like Seinfeld being "the show about nothing." If they were smart they would make, "just a couple of guys drinking beer and eating hotdogs," a running gag in the show while actually improving the jokes and writing.

Krapopolis is Ok from what I’ve seen but they initially launched it as an NFT show so I didn’t support it. Grimsburg, The Great North, and Housebroken never grabbed my attention much, but from the bits I’ve seen Great North seems like the most competent of the bunch. Housebroken was fine but in concept I just don’t think it has any longevity. Grimsburg seems broadly bad from what I’ve seen so I’ve just steered clear of it save for a few clips I’ve seen.

I am a 40 some year old female and i find the characters extremely unlikeable. I can see kids enjoying it but some of its so disturbing. Just no. The funniest episode in my opinion is the one where they played the cursed ghost witch board game and drove david crazy while he was trying to write a short story so he wrote a brutal zombie horror after seeing one of the ghosts and going loopy. My only previous experience with this show is when I was at Red Robin, when an episode of this played. One of the staff members got up, went to the channel menu, and switched it to sports.

I watched a new episode last night on FOX. Its pretty okay but it isn’t unique. Only thing that has it going is its art style. Thats about it imo

It’s actually a great show, unfortunately you’re prob too simple minded to relax and have fun with an adult cartoon. Rick n morty have you shook and ruined not everything needs to be complex. Family guy is not different just more raunchy human.

Nah it’s just not funny at all. Nothing made me chuckle or laugh. Maybe one joke made me smile briefly but that’s it. Family Guy, even though the modern episode suck, at least there’s a joke or two that I laugh at.
