I lived in San Francisco for 12 yrs, just like everyone in the bay area calls it The City, if you don't they'll know you're not a local. Look at what they're wearing, CAL.

false, they call it Cal or Berkeley or UC Berkeley not "the University of California". I'm grown up in Berkeley and am a Cal student. Maybe they use to call it the University of California 15 years ago when things were a bit different, but not anymore.

TheStudio Technically it is still the name even though it is not widely used like when UCLA plays Berkeley in any sport they always name Berkeley California and UCLA is named UCLA. That even goes for any school they play in sports to be honest.
