Chris you are an inspiration to people with autism, and indeed those that haven't but maybe don't feel that they fit in like me. My worst nightmares are holidays and parties. My daughter enjoyed the lecture you gave on your book at lincoln uni so much. We all loved your book. Keep on doing what you're doing. It's terrific!

Thank you so much for sharing this. My three year old son has ASD and sometimes gets overwhelmed at nursery, so this helps give me an insight into the issues he is facing and how to help him.

People just have no idea the trouble. Late sixties early seventies were my college years, speaking of autistic confusions. Registration of new classes was a nightmare of lines noise crowded mayhems, never went to one study group or meeting ever, having only a few people to cling to. Otherwise I did quite well staring in a microscope alone hour after blissful hour throw in the ability to marathon study no problem. Mr. Packham's videos are invaluable for me, thanks.

I have Asperger's and was diagnosed with it at 9 and now I'm 28 and I'd admit although it has in some ways socially diss advantaged me it has also gifted me in many ways.

I believe that my ex is on the Autism Spectrum. Brilliant and handsome fellow but..... he has struggled through life with social awkwardness. He made it to the end of grad school and then dropped out weeks before graduation and never went back. Just could not get on the right track again after he fell off. Colleges need to develop systems and counselors that reach out to such individuals. He went on disability at the age of 45. Was hospitalized for depression and general anxiety disorder for a while....which I don't believe is a proper diagnosis. He exhibits so many Asperger's traits. So sad that so many brilliant adults are walking around in life struggling when they could be shining. I believe that I am an adult on the spectrum too...self diagnosed. Most likely why we were attracted to each other....we came from the same planet!

Such a wonderful resource, thank you so much. But as an Aspie, the odd movements of the camera are a bit overstimulating to me. Is it possible to even those out? Thank you very much and thanks to Mr. Packham.

I'm gutted that there was no understanding in the 80s..I was trained like an animal, which created conflict in my mind. I thought I was bad, naughty, thick. I had no interests that other people had. I coped out and decided to play the comedian. Robin Williams style 🙄
