I absolutely love this! Is this an ongoing thing, if so what do they call such a bucketlist event? I lived on the west side of Mercer Island during the early 1970s and could hear them running for days before Seafair. One of my fathers colleagues was the pit announcer and on my 10th birthday got pit passes a few days before race day. While there I was about 20 feet away from the Miss Budweiser when she fired up which I'll never forget. Agree completely with sentiment that it was money well spent to be able to ride in such an iconic boat. Thank you for posting this!
