after a patch, you have to run the entire distance. It's not worth it at all unless you are level fifty. All three chests had level fifty items for me.

Just wanted to bring everybody up to speed in Feb 2020. The Easter Egg DOES still work, but like others have said, you gotta walk/run all the way from Clap Traps place. Only had trouble in the Dust when I got hit from behind by a bandit vehicle and went into Fight For Your Life only one time. Now I use my deception skill when I can see enemies approaching on the map. Also if you activate the save beacon at the vendor's booth at the entrance to Eridum Blight, you can restart the game at that vendor to sell your loot. But you still have to go all the way back to Clap Trap's Place if you wanna repeat the Easter Egg.

The golden key glitch is so much easier, faster, and better then this. Nice guide for the egg though. On a side note, you cannot start this till you open the Eridium Blight quests. The "ring" will not be in the fire place until then. If you're really wanting to do this now, since you can't use a vehicle anymore, a breakneck banshee would be your least annoying option.

I've done this a few times. Lemme just say that the fastest/easiest way, imo, to get purple guns is actually to kill King Mong. Fast travel to Arid- Boneyard, take the entrance to Eridium Blight here, run to the end of the bridge, and look right. King Mong has a random (albeit high) chance to spawn here. If he's there, kill him, save and quit. If not, save and quite, and check again. In my experience, he drops purple 90% of the time. Also has a chance to drop the orange badaboom rocket launcher.

Get golden keys from giveaways, once you have about 20, set the ini file to read only. Now you can open up the golden chest as many times as you want, exit the game and reload and all your keys will be back.

I case in you didn't know, Borderlands 1 and 2 are known for having lots of amazing weapons and a lot of people like farming for the best of the best. Weapons might not be big in all of the games you play, but in these games, they matter very much.

Some people have found the ring in the furnace in their first playthrough, but for the most part you need to be on your second playthrough. It is guaranteed to be there in your second playthrough in True Vault Hunter Mode. Of course you have to go all the way through the storyline again until you reach Eridium Blight.

easy way to get purple weapons if you want 1 or 2 quickly, farm old slappy if you want 5 or 6 in 5 or 10 minutes, farm the warrior they're both relitivly easy, and, as long as you have good equipment, you should be able tokill them pretty easilly. also, just use what ever you're best with, whether it be the old "confrence call + bee" or having an explosive relic with the deadly bloom, flakker, and kerblaster.

I found in Captain Scarlett DLC in the mission where you raid a Hyperion caravan they are hauling 2 red chests and a vault key. Go to Wurmwater when the mission is available and kill the 3 Super Badass Loaders (Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode) gaurding the caravan. loot the 2 chests but DON'T OPEN THE MIDDLE CHEST!!!!! get the loot you want and save and quit then repeat. I've gotten like 6 Legendaries and and a crap load of purples this way.

What he forgot to explain is you have to be on second play through and you have to have all the places needed "found" before the "ring" becomes available in the fire.

I've not done this, so I'm asking... what you could do then is have a friend in the game, you pick up the "ring", and when you enter an area your partner drives while you stand still, and then they "drag" you through the areas? does that definitely work?

Yeah, you can't use fast travel, cars, or die. I've beaten TVHM and I just did it easily. The hardest part of the whole thing is getting through the Dust without dying due to the Bandit Technicals. But a level appropriate launcher easily fixes that.

"Unlimited purple" have two Vault hunters characters on one profile. Find all the vault symbols with both characters in sanctuary. Then! Load one load them both in sanctuary and your player 2 will have 10 keys. You can also switch them out. 10 keys forever

This still works but they have patched using a vehicle this means that you have to make the same journey but walk it all, it does take extra time but if you desperate for guns you will do anything right? (And if you wondering how to get over the bridge without a car.. Walk over the metal that connect them together to thrift of the gap) hope this helps :)

If you die or fast travel there the quest automaticly fails and you have to go back to claptrap's to get the gear again....

from what i can see you have to be in true vaulter mode, i.e. have beaten the game in normal mode for the ring to be in the fire. When I look in normal mode it's not there but is in TVM. The other thing is that you have got to reach Eridium bright in true vaulter mode before you can take this route. Otherwise when you get to the dust there is no gate to EB.

Also if you have 15k damage weapon,you can farm exp* easy on the "Warior vault" [idk,this is the last location at the campaign] and get some legendaries [not orange,but they good too С: ] P.S I mean some rocket launcher [15k damage] ;D

Just by luck, I found a lvl 50 SMG called the Lescaux and the red text said; "Gun of the Bulls" It had no recoil, 5000 something damage, it burst fires when zoomed but the bullets go everywhere in a very large spread which explains the red text, this makes it quite inaccurate even though it has a 96% accuracy. Unfortunately I sold it :L

Went back to clap traps place and no more ring..are you sure this is still a good trick or has it been removed?

For those of you who don't know, Gearbox patched it so that driving DOES KILL the quest. You have to walk/run the whole way... It's pretty bad.

I know that after beating the 2nd playthrough, all enemies scale to your level, but for me after beating this playthrough, none of the enemies are at my level. What do you think is the problem? I vaguely remember finishing the play-through with a split-screen co-op when the other player has not started true-vault hunter mode.

I didn't have to take Geary's gear - I just went to where he is, took him out, and went on through the FIRES... Really annoying, but worth it.
