Awesome bud! Glad you are getting the updated tune in order to take full advantage of the gears we recently installed and to get things to sync up with the gear ratio since the ECU gets confused trying to read wheel speed and adjust shift points when things get out of whack. Dude you’re gonna cost me so much money… 😂 Never really gave any serious thought to a tune or re-gear. Now both are sounding pretty good. Still need to talk with a tuner on what exactly the tune does for a MT. Seems the biggest advantage for an auto is the shift points. Does it cost the same for a MT since it’s not giving me the same functions? Etc.. Re-gear is sounding more and more like the way to go. Especially with the added weight of the 33’s and shell. Does the company you used do an exchange? I mean my stock gears barely have 2k miles on them. Got some homework to do. Great vid man.. Was looking forward to your update 👍

@@James-yv8nm I honestly feel like the torque is equal now to the 4th gen pro I tried. This truck moves! Especially with the tune and 5.29s on a “lite” truck.. torque is phenomenal. No, so it is an exchange. They send me the new cores and I send my old ones to them. 👍🏼 on my next video I will do the gear oil change. I will also go over on what I purchased and how the process works and show the invoice so people can better understand the cost breakdown.

The OTT tune is vital to getting the very most and best out of your gears. If you have the OTT tune your tuner will give you the updated 5.29 gear setting. Only takes a few seconds to make the adjustment.👍🏼

No, it’s essentially the same tune they have had but now it’s officially “50 state legal” for smog emissions etc. However, i did get my tune changed to the 5.29 gear setup they offer🔥.👍🏼

Depending on when you were last tuned will determine which update or upgrade you will need. Reach out to your tuner for up to date info. No bugs with this tune, thoroughly tested and now emissions certified!

If you wouldn't mind, do an interstate/freeway run. I'm curious how the 5:29s do running 70-80 with your (265/75/16?) tires. See a lot of vids with 33s/35s. Not many with the slightly larger than stock combo.
