YOU MUST enter "-fileopenlog" without the quotes to the open field under steam, right click wukong, click properties, and the GENERAL TAB at the bottom has a field where you can input custom commands, that "-fileopenlog" MUST be there!!! or it wont load ANY mods. this function enables the game to load custom files.

~~~~NOTE~~~~~~ if using a keyboard and mouse / console controller, here is the translated control scheme! finally!
M - open map
N - switch the camera view
Move the directional keys, zoom in and out with the mouse wheel

Installed this and the prerequisite automatically via Vortex without any issues. I did not add the -fileopenlog to command line and still works. There is a half-baked Eng translation now. Also installed the mod to get FSR frame gen to run with DLSS on my RTX 3070 (manual installation).

I’m intrigued by your methods, I think you could show me a thing or 2. Request: can you try and use your vortex installer to install the new version 1.5 simple map mod??? Most of it is in Chinese, including the folder structure. I’m curious if vortex can give us access to a more refined and polished map as the 1.5 map has pathing enabled I heard. ​@@SweetGPT Thanks for your extensive replies. I really didn't put much time or effort into the installation. I just used Vortex to install version 1.5.0 automatically. The English translation is mostly there, but missing a few words, for example arrow up and the word for compass. I just read how to mark something, which I will try tomorrow. It's too late now. I tried adding -fileopenlog to command line, and it works the same with and without it. I don't want to make any videos to prove it works for my setup with automatic Vortex installtion or be featured in any video. It's not that important. It's a nice mod and a feature I really missed when I started playing the game, but the devs figured it wasn't really needed, and that's mostly true.

@@danny7091 it’s super super easy so here’s what you do Make sure the vortex is open and running Make sure that your game is listed in vortex of course Then when you’re on nexusmods.com 80% of mods when you click the FILES tab There will be two orange buttons One for manual download But the button to the left of manual is the button that you click and vortex will automatically install it for you !!! No more dragging and dropping ^_^ even this mod can be installed in that manner Let me know if you need any more help brother definitely post back if you got it working !

maybe you pasted the wrong folder in the first mod when i set it up the first time i pasted the bigger folder but needed to paste the ue4ss folder and the dll seperately

Hey! Don’t knock urself bro! You can do ANYTHING! I’m really really glad that I took the time to make this video because I have never gotten so many views so fast, this is the second highest performing video I’ve ever produced so I can tell people truly needed it. As far as location to location, I’ve heard that it’s possible…. I personally have not pulled it off because I choose to use an Xbox controller. Keyboard and mouse users may have a few options as you can see from the translated instructions….. but I haven’t really messed with them too much. Yeah, everybody just follows along slowly step-by-step. You really can’t mess it up. I’m pretty sure you can only do that with a mouse and keyboard according to the translated instructions But I know that if you’re using a controller, you can click R3 and it will lock onto any item or enemy or location even if it’s halfway across the map so … take that as you will, it’s not gonna magically help us navigate like we really want to. It’s not quite that polished.

If you watch some of my newer videos, such as my RAIDEN mod from MGS, I have both running mini map AND fully traversable 3D map, AND the nimbus cloud anywhere I want…. Infinitely ^_^ Thank you for leaving a comment though, others will see it ! Leading to more mini map questions. The full map is by far superior to the minimum because you can mark locations, etc., etc. aka pathing. The map is really splotchy when it comes to loading too. Definitely on my way more than a map. I use a map to look for localized enemies and that’s about it.

As far as to say, which one is better, I have them both running, but I honestly like the 3-D map mod better because you can actually interact with it and zoom in on an enemy that’s halfway across the map…. Or that you want to get anything you want. The mini map is static and I don’t think you can do too much with it unless someone’s not telling me something lol

From what I have seen, it has had a few issues with other mods that involve model swapping or the light saber mod I could be incorrect, but I have not tested them myself personally I will be sure to do that this evening for you guys. Is -file open log in your steam commands under right click - BMwukong - properties At the bottom of this page, there is a empty line where you can enter custom commands. It needs to say - fileopenlog Just checking with you as a lot of people forget this one little step Also, I highly highly highly recommend. Just downloading vortex. It auto install the mods for you. Even ones with Chinese folder structures.!

Yes, I am positive. It’s only rewriting certain files to be more specific. It’s actually adding files to the game in order to give you access to data that was already there the entire time. It’s completely safe to use these mods I haven’t even received any issues with achievements or anything. I’ve almost platinumed the game lol much easier said than done

@@SweetGPT I am a bit worry this will overwrite my saved files in there. Anyway I have done it, in a safer way, probably you can post a supporting useful video for other ppl too. Add those mod files into the respective game folders, without pasting the whole b1 folder. This method will work too for anyone who concern about existing folders

I am here to happily dispel your concerns, my friend the safe files are in a completely completely different folder structure that is not contained within B1 itself persay. But I think it’s wonderful that you found a way to manually drop the files yourself without anyone else’s help that’s wonderful brother! But I can promise you this there are no mods that are Nexus mods where if you drop and overwrite the contents of the B1 folder when it says that it specifically is trying to tell you that it’s only overwriting specific files inside that folder structure. Like you have to go through B1 to get to your ~mods folder. So naturally the path will start with B one but just because it’s overwriting a particular folder. It doesn’t mean that it’s overwriting 128 GB worth of content. Put this into an easier way to digest that was nowhere near that size correct? Using that logic, there’s no way that it could overwrite 128 GB worth of data. Plus the operation would take several minutes to possibly up to an hour on modern to older systems. I promise you this, my friend you are safe installing these mods, your files are in a specific particular place and the usually never get messed with. That’s the last thing any developer wants is somebody file they would get negative publicity for that. If there were any risks like that, they should also be notated and bright orange on Nexus mod right before you download it. I hope you’re enjoying and having fun brother! Also, you can make a copy of your saved files and put them on your desktop just to be safe. That way, if anything were to go wrong, which I promise you it won’t …. I’m actually getting ready to test that tonight. If you install it via Vortexx, you may have a better chance of it working than installing it manually. Advice from a friend. But please let me know if you get it working b4 I do! I know for a fact that both mods are able to run at the same time. I’m just not sure of the logistics. It may be as simple as installing both of them simple as that. Only time will tell. (I LOVE THAT MOD) but I’m not sure if it works unless you unlocked that ability already.
