Hi Tom! What are your thoughts on targeting specific cities with my Meta campaign? When I go on Spotify and compare where my listeners are located, to where the artists that ''fans also like'' its basicly the same cities. Good idea to target those cities? or should I just go broad with those countries. (fyi, most tier 1 and tier 2 countries)

The short answer is that, except in cases of promoting shows, I find country targeting to be more effective in the long run. The bulk of the traffic will end up defaulting to cities anyway due to the outsized population compared to more rural areas.

Great question! I'm talking about playlist pitching aggregation platforms like SubmitHub, Playlist Push, etc. Pitching every new release to editorials is great because you get your new song on Release Radar for all of your followers; promoting your own playlist is great because you end up with more streams per listener, playlist followers, and you are in full control of the track listing; and relying on trusted contacts or label deals for playlist placements is good to because you have more control, more oversight, a personal relationship, and, in the case of labels, they have a vested interest in the success of your song as well (assuming they own a percentage), which incentivizes them to see your song succeed (i.e. they have skin in the game).

I have issues.. i have a cost per result from 30 Cent with my ad. But dont get streams.... Thats annoying, i have Tier 2 countrys this time and remove the countrys where the Algorithm Focus on, cause my cost per result was in 6 Cent but also No really streams... This topic is Just annoying 😃
