*** CORRECTION *** X-Pac vs ECOPACK
Although they look similar, the X-pac and the ECOPACK are two different materials made by two different companies made in the US. The colour Pitch-Black (the colour I featured here) is made from the X-pac, however the other colour versions (i.e. Hybrid colors) are made from the ECOPACK. I misunderstood the two different fabrics and how they're used across the different packs wanted to make sure it was correct here

Great presentation, thank you! I've just ordered one and I'm checking videos about it while I'm waiting. But not that I'm new to Code Of Bell, I own their ANNEX 360 - Multi-Purpose Wallet Slingas well as the X-PAK EVO - Sling Pack, and I couldn't be happier with COB products. Specially the X-Pak Evo is used for commuting (together with harness holder an the laptop sleeve attached to the bag as needed (yes, I've forked out some serious money there) as well as for travels. The new need arose when I realised that I love the concept (X-pod and the Evo both have this expandable compartment) that I could use as my everyday cary and also while at the gym. I've actually got it all sorted out, just need the bag in my hands haha. Anyway, thanks for taking the time, cheers!

I could be wrong but afaik this is the only color that comes in x-pac. The other colors are the ones that come in ecopak. I recently ordered one because the pitch black went on sale and got it for about 116$. I really wanted to try one of the ecopak versions but the sale was only applicable on the black cw. This is the small and I believe there’s only one other size which is the large. I wish they made one ever so slightly bigger than this, not so much a medium but something between what would be a medium and the small (closer to the small). The large btw is meant to be a backpack replacement it is really large and a backpack harness can even be purchased for it separately.

@@MoorlanderEDC It’s all good. It’s a minor difference but apparently ecopak is just a recycled x-pak that comes in a little softer like a “broken-in” x-pac. I don’t have any ecopak myself to compare and would’ve liked to try it out but chose the almost 40$ savings instead. Great video keep them coming!

I just bought one like 2 hours ago, I got the Tropic color. I was looking for a lighter pack compared to my Maxpedition Kodiak because summer is coming soon here in Cali and I need to be able shed layers but still have a way to store them so this will be my summer pack this year. It does yes. You'll have to do like I have and take the stablizer strap off and move it to the other side of the buckle. Super easy to do. 👍

Nahhh! I'm definitely getting too old! At 51, this product went from being a "fanny pack" for US tourists visiting Europe (very useful), to a "Hip Bag" for road cyclists (still in Europe, still very useful) and for Hipsters in the USA today. How are they naming it? Who knows, maybe they call it a "European sportsman purse"? Then now a "Sling Pack"? Nahhh, it's a Gun Bag when worn in the front with easy access. 🙂 Kidding aside, a nice product! Most outdoor companies have this product pretty well defined to be honest. And personally? I have like one of each! A fanny pack, a hip bag, and a G-B... Yet to get a "multicam sling bag" however... *The jokes are for the community, the comments are for the algorithm...

Hello Question on X-POD II - Sling Pack (S) Which is more durable to puncture the RE/COR™ RN66 100% or ECOPAK ?

Hmmmmm... great question. This is a pure guess on my part and not based on any scientific testing. I'd probably go with the EcoPak. If you take like for like and have a 500d test piece of each they'll have very similar weat and tear properties with the EcoPak probably being stronger due to it's sew in ripstop.... but that's rips. The reason I'd give the puncture win to EcoPak is the waterproof membrane is has on the back. Although it's very thin, it's an additional layer of protection for anything inside. In a head to head, I think the results would still be incredibly close between the two Oh man, this question has me thinking about so many different parameters that would be needed to go into testing the two. Great question for a Friday morning. I wish I had the means to test this properly and scientifically
