Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” Matthew 8:20-22

I love David Pawson so much. But his I really do not agree with his contention against the division of the Bible to chapters and verse. Although it’s been very harmful to the church but it has been helpful as well.

I respectfully disagree. A believing Jew is part of the Church but they do not lose their distinctive of being Jewish... God's plans for the Jews are not completed... the Bible keeps them distinct.

Preacher says, there is no reference to repentance and resurrection. Read Rom 2:4; and 6:5. I think preacher heavily depended on the human sources than personal reading. The preacher talks more about what, why, how, of the epistle than actual epistle. This is just my observation.

Just to add to my note, the preacher said in previous preaching that you don't find any reference about God's love any many of the OT books. Surprisingly I found every book speaks of God's gracious love. He is a good preacher but his over confident wrong statement create a question about the source of his information.

Pawson creates a straw man argument. The Jews must submit to the faith in Christ to be saved which is what Paul states. The Christian church is absolutely the new Israel
