Another correlation between the Exodus and Jesus. The Lord had Moses count the people according to their tribe. The he combined the tribes into four groups. After the tabernacle was errected; first order of business, the people put up their tents according to their group. Three of the groups had roughly the same number of people with the fourth group close to double the number, roughly. Each group was told to camp in a cardinal compass point, North, South, East and West. No one was to camp inbetween or on the corners, NNE or SSW ect. I can't remember which group went where but if you were to look down from above the layout of the whole camp resembles a cross. Another foreshadowing of the New Testament in the Old. Just had a thought, if the tabernacle was a model of where God dwells in heaven, the picture of the camp shows us how to get there. The more I learn the more I stand in awe, reverence and humbleness.

There are a few KZbin videos now about the real Mount Sinai in Arabia; a mountain severely burned and blackened on the top half, along with the split rock that poured out water, the altar where the golden calf was sacrificed, etc. It goes much further than a mountain with the same name. It's worth a search.

Most interesting about the reed sea... but as ever I try to read in the meanwhile. The wind was not just blowing the water away as you David told us, but it were actually walls of water: "Then the people of Isra’el went into the sea on the dry ground, with the water WALLED up for them on their right and on their left."
@truewitness68407 жыл бұрын
Theodore....I agree, it was not the Reed Sea at all, but the actual Red Sea. Chariot wheels and axles have been found at the bottom of the Red Sea. Also, King Solomon erected pillars at either side of the Red Sea, and these have also been found. So sorry David, I disagree with this point. Otherwise, good teaching, thankyou.

For anyone who comes across the video - We know where the crossing site was. It was at Nuweiba beach on the eastern side of the Sinai peninsula. There, on a sandbridge can be found the barnacle encrustations of an egyptian army, including a chariot wheel of gold, which could only belong to an important person in egypt. Check it out for yourself. As to the location of the real Mt. Sinai (Har Horeb / Jabal Musa), it is in northern saudi arabia, and the evidence is beyond substantial. The mountain top is blackened by fire, and altars can be found as well as a towering rock split down the middle. When David recorded these videos, that evidence was not available, but now it is. We have more evidence of the crossing of the red sea and of the events of mt sinai than we do of israel's captivity in egypt. The archaeology bears witness to God's deeds in the ancient past.

The law doesn’t say not to wear clothes made of mixed materials. It says not to wear garments of linen and wool mixed. There’s a difference. Linen was a fabric representing purity, hence the priests garments being made of it, and wool symbolized uncleanness. It’s linen and wool specifically, nothing to do with mixing any other materials.

Moses was a shepherd in Midian, which is in what is now Saudi Arabia. That is where he met Zipporah and Jethro and dwelt with them. He was not in what is today called the Sinai Peninsula. Moreover, in the days of the Exodus, the Sinai Peninsula was within the Egyptian Kingdom. The Jews left Egypt and, therefore, had to leave the peninsula.

38:10 the mention of unleavened bread was in 1 corinthians 5:8; the mention of the last supper was in 1 corinthians 11:23. the bread Jesus had was leavened (arts) such as the account of Paul in 1 cor 11:22-34. the passover was to be eaten with unleavened (assumes) bread. the passover was to remind the Israelites of the angel of death passing over the houses with the blood of the lamb on the door posts. the last supper was a memorial of christ's death to be observed till he comes again. the wine represented his life that sealed the new covenant. the covenant with Israel was made at mt sinai, not during the passover.

What does a christian do about something like smoking, when it comes to 'consistant deliberate disobedience/sin'?
@Scripture-Man6 жыл бұрын
Hello Miranda. Addiction to cigarettes is a terrible physical problem which any Christian ought to pray to be free from. I myself am highly allergic to cigarette smoke, so I do not believe the Lord wants there to be any cigarettes in the New Jerusalem - nor indeed any kind of toxic chemicals which destroy the body. HOWEVER… *Smoking is NOT a sin!* It is a physical burden, and a bad habit, and it could even hold us back in our walk with the Lord. But not a SIN! You should beware of religious people who teach that smoking and alcohol are sins - or even things like gambling, masturbation, driving over the speed limit, or using bad language! All of these things CAN be bad in certain situations, and there are some people who would do well to abstain, for various personal reasons. However, we who are in Christ are NOT bound by superficial physical rules about what to touch and what to taste. We are spiritual people who seek spiritual truth and spiritual righteousness - TRUE morality, not silly regulations about what we can put into our body. TRUE morality is about having a clean HEART not a clean body, as Jesus said: Matthew 15:17-20 "Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man." There are things which the Bible advises us not to consume - above all, eating blood is prohibited, or meat that's been strangled. We're also warned to avoid sexual misconduct such as adultery and sleeping around outside of marriage. But smoking is NOT a sin, it's just a bad habit, which I do not believe the Lord wants for His people. Do not let the Devil convince you that you are helpless to give in to sin. Anyone who is in Christ Jesus can avoid sin if we choose, for the Lord's commandments are not burdensome - we are able to freely follow His instructions and live righteously (1 John 5:3). But if we have a chemical addiction, or a physical ailment that is holding you back, that is not something we can be instantly free of unless the Lord grants it quickly. But keep on praying for liberation! But do not listen to religious people who impose sets of rules about what a person can taste and touch, for the Lord says: Colossians 2:20-23 "Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations--"Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle," which all concern things which perish with the using--according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh." I invite people to subscribe to my channel. I was called as a teacher and I will be uploading a series of videos in the near future which I think will be helpful to many Christians. The Lord has given me a series of topics to talk about which all relate to the modern church :)

Miranda, i was delivered from the addiction or sin of cigarette smoking. It controls you or you let it control you. I finally asked God, after trying to quit on my own several times, to take it away from me. And he did. It was a true miracle. He did it and I had no withdrawal. Galatians 5:19-21: The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (NIV) The word witchcraft above is the translation of the Greek word pharmacia, which refers to the usage of mind-altering drugs. 1Cor 10:21 (NIV) You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. Gal 6:7-9 (NIV) Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 2Ti 2:19 (NIV) ...God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness." 2 Cor 7:1 (NIV) Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 Tim 2:21-22 (Wey) All who cleanse themselves of the things I have mentioned will become special utensils, dedicated and useful to the owner of the house, ready for every good work. Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Numbers 11:33 -But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague... they did not eat till they were sick. Half truths is a lie. John 2- 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. The bible has only one definition for sin: Trangression of the Law of God. How can be keeping the Law of God be named a sin. The truth will set us free. In Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Same covenant only written in a different place. The table of our hearts.

Dear Mr. Pawson, Option #1) How did 1.5 to 2.0 million men, women, children, seniors, and the infirmed hike through a river delta silt ... have you ever hiked a river delta ... please give me a break and its not the Red Sea, Option #2) No waters parted on your 2nd option, Option #3) The Israelites in Egypt were centered in Rameses (Tel el-Dab'a) (North of Goshen) and it would not make sense to go south and then turn east just so God could part the waters ... option #2 is more logical and shorter ... the shortest distance to Mt. Sinai is roughly 200 miles ... going south would add an additional 50 miles at least ... and remember they had to cross this distance in less than 24-hours. OHHH BOY !!!
