This video makes me feel so much better! As an American I am always self-conscious when traveling of being seen as the typical American stereotype of someone who loves excess and materialism and packs their entire house when they leave. I often do my best to pack as a minimalist and we usually shoot for one suitcase for the two kids and myself and one for my husband and then the parents have a backpack with carry-on items for ourselves and the kids. It is agonizing though to pack lightly with kids because you are always worrying about the what-ifs and that you will run out of clean clothes or toiletries or snacks. It is refreshing to see so many suitcases and laundry. I do prefer to do light laundry while traveling if there is a washing machine in the unit because it’s nice to come home to less work.

For me - I actually like doing my washing while away. The last thing I want to think about after having a nice relaxing time away is to come home to endless loads of washing. Not for everyone but it’s how I do it. Love you videos - you make it look effortless. 👍

I am so glad I practice minimalism when it comes to clothes. I used to own soo many clothes that it was a nightmare I now make capsule wardrobes for summer winter for me my husband and my son. You should look at the heated clothes horse from Lakeland it's electric but it's very cost effective and with the cover it drys washing so well when it's wet outside . x

This is what I do when we get home from a holiday, usually over two days, using the clothes line, hi-dry and any available space in the house to get everything dried. It's great just getting everything washed, dried and put away asap.

We got back from Lanzarote 3 weeks ago. And I unpacked 2 of the 4 cases straight away and did a load of washing. I had all holiday washing done and put away in 24 hours aswell. Mostly because I was working the rest of the week I thought if I didn't do it then it would just be piling up. Laundry piling up is one of my fears haha.

Definitely the not so glamorous side of going on holiday. I always do my holiday laundry in the first 24 hours. Washed, ironed and put away☺️I change all my sheets a couple of days before we go away. That way sheets are still fresh for when we get back, This means we don’t have to deal with sheets as well as holiday laundry when we get back.

We have just come back from 10 days in fuertaventura and trying to do all washing (I also have 3 boys) is so hard work especially as it's now decided to chuck it down for the next few days 😭.
