But the problem is once they start getting paid for household work, then it would become almost impossible for women to pursue their careers because the society would then never think about increasing their participation in workforce. Not only that, the parents of a girl would focus not on her education but to teach her household chores so that after marriage she doesn't face any problem and these things might backfire for women in the long run

I think instead of giving money, government should encourage men to help ladies and should change this attitude of society that women are supposed to all work for her family. Afterall either take woman or man both are human beings. All the responsibility should be taken both of them ( financial and house, all remaining )

Compensation or salary involves two people. The one who receives the service and the one who pays for it however this model is applicable only for the work that falls under economic activity category If government pays for domestic work then does that mean government is receiving the service. Paying stipend would be a better idea if a women is involved in full time domestic work as it will help many women who are not financial independent. It could be more like a recognition for their contribution for making our society more human which ultimately contributes to the future of this country. Russia has similar arrangement to incentivise motherhood as their population is falling short of required numbers.

Why you people always claim household works are unpaid work. Fooding, accommodation, facilities, bills, clothes, vacations, holiday destinations, restaurants, jewellery, medical bills, insurance, latest gadgets, salon, transportation, education(in some cases), A lower middle class husband spends total INR 45-50 Lac minimum for his wife in a 30 years marriage on an average. How you can claim this free????

In India.. problem is caste system.. bhi hai..so..even earning women are not allowed to keep maids...so..they are expected to do housework and..do .well professionally..as well.. in my neighborhood..one daughter worked for a software company..FIL did not allow her to keep help.. finished her income..she used to sterlise bottles for her baby .got just 4 hrs of sleep..took loan without informing wife.. nowadays ..educated women are being Target ..and they bring permanent dowry....so wife and husband.. should have access to the money they earn..and also loans property etc.. should be in both names half half.now..she is paying..for her 4 year old son..divorce case going on in court..what do we do with such exploiting families..this is also the reason..why..girls don't want to stay in joint families anymore..joint family is becoming a burden..

Women's place is not inside the kitchen she should works outside most of the Western countries most of the men's are doing sweeping cooking cutting the vegetables scrapping the coconuts wiping the doors and windows fetching water in the pots cleaning the bathroom washpasin dusting the shelves folding the clothes

First of all according to me, There is a huge need to make woman to get aware of there rights , and to take stand for them self. Mostly women never use there power and surrender frunt of situations for this there should be 24 hours available family and career counselor who can help them to find the bestest way. Secondly, women should not be paid for working at there own house but for should be paid for working at other houses. Basically cooking, sweeping etc other house chores should get a plate form of a professional job and more companies should be establish for giving job for wishable unemployed womens.

Secondly, If after marriage both have shares in sorrows and pains then why not in property,------- ETHICAL VIEW. # - Hindu Succession Act 1956. -------- CONSTITUTIONAL VIEW.

It may/will back fire We should empower women giving such wages is not solution. Either we can divide salary of men in 60-40 or 40-60 ratio between men and women. ( but it is not permanent solution)
