I think judge Milian hit the nail on the head. I think the landlord ASSUMED that since the girlfriend had broken up with him and moved out that the guy would have zero knowledge that ex-girlfriend with the help of her Mom had settled everything so that landlord was not out any money. He was paid in full, Judge peeped his game and landlord had to lose. Landlord was shocked when the defendant had the documentation showing that any damages were already paid by the Mom, plus the deposit was forfeited. Good case. Love Judge Marilyn.
