I wondered if there had been a railway in those mountains and sure enough the world's first electric incline railway was built in those mountains. Amazing this area didn't become a Tahoe.

Great trails, great views. A little snow on the mountains make them stand out. Had that in Friuli/Northeast Italy two weeks ago. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg

To avoid having my clothes smell like smoke, I sit around the fire naked. Has the added benefit of scaring the bears. Or maybe that's laughter. You can't tell with bears.

First you go through Big Bear, and they then have the Line Fire, Now you go to Lone Pine Canyon where they have a larger fire yet, the bridge fire which even was larger! Dang Kinga

Good News the Guffy campground did not burn, however many surrounding areas did. The fire came within 500 ft of the town of Wrightwood where you enjoyed your Hamburger. Did You know that there was a significant Bear population around the area in which you camped?

The fork is original but the springs are not. I've upgraded to progressive springs years back.

Good day, I own a motorcycle like yours, I have a question for you, did you change the oil in the shock absorbers? What density of oil did you fill and what volume?

Hey, I have progressive springs and I use 15W which is a thicker oil. I'm not sure about the volume, a suspension expert serviced my forks.

@@onherbike Thank you for the reply, I changed to 7.5W oil but I don't like the way the shock absorbers work, I can feel right every bump in the road and every bump. Maybe I should put 15 density in too.
