Epic Games does such an amazing job for the small developers and artists. Im glad i picked it as my game engine of choice.

I agree, have you ever used unreal engine for VFX? I am trying to decide whether to learn blender or unreal engine - Anyone chime in and say which to go with?

It looks like the cloner system has been ripped off from Cinema 4d... and I'm extremely happy about that because it'll be an easy transition for me.

can you vertex paint on Nanites in some way or workaround involving nanite meshes ... if not, and until then, and 5.4 changes nothing for me

i honestly haven't really dived into unreal all that much, as it doesn't seem to really cater to RTS developers out of the box, and that is really what i'd like to try doing, but i might start using it for rigging and rendering/building a interactive portfolio (I need to start somewhere, lol)

I know 2 professional Animators who have switched entirely from Maya to Unreal for all their animation and rigging about 12 months ago. They work in Game dev though not VFX. I wonder how long Maya will hang onto VFX animators for with this update.

Maya is still beating UE in that regard tho, maybe some individuals do drop Maya for UE when it comes to animating and rigging but in general Unreal Engine isnt nearly there yet but those updates are definitelly welcome and i gladly use it as the game engine ^^

So unreal has become just a ready made templates that u drag and drop, I mean unreal has become a drag and drop engine not a fully customizable engine

Not really. You still have all the customization, but there's no need for every creator to have to reinvent the wheel from scratch for every project.

@robinpage2730 Yes some functionalities are fully customizable like the new "enhanced input action system", But I suggest to make the motion design tool played graphicly in a blueprint
